Someone help me play catch up...?

Hey folks! It's been a while since I've logged on here I've missed it here! Anyway I have made a point to actually start watching Dollhouse but can someone who has watched since day 1 give me a nutshell of what has happened thus far? Purely for my convenience 😛

Not much. Echo and the actives have gone on various missions and shes got in trouble a few times but by starting now, your in great shape for the rest of the series. Echo is showing a few signs of being a little 'aware' at the last 10 seconds of every episode though.
 
Plus they're speaking about this person Alpha...who was a "doll" before...but went bad and started killing alot of the other "dolls". They also think he's connected to Echo...it's all so exciting!! 😀

Basically, the Dollhouse is a top-secret organization that gets people to sign up for 5 years. Once these people sign up, they get their minds completely wiped and they get left in a default, childlike state with absolutely no memories or knowledge of who they are. Really rich, powerful people hire out these "Actives" (the people who signed up) for different missions, and they're programmed with different personalities, skills, etc. The whole thing with Echo is that she's starting to remember what happened in her missions and before she signed up for the Dollhouse, which, in the eyes of the people running the organization, is bad, bad, bad.

I'd suggest reading up about it on Wikipedia or something, but you shouldn't need too much more information than that to watch the next episode 😀

Just a little more to add to the previous posts, would be that besides the Secret Organization (Dollhouse), Alpha (previous "doll") and Echo (Eliza), there's an FBI agent obsessed to find and bring up to light the "Dollhouse" since there's a rumor going around about some of the dolls/girls being kidnapped and brain wiped. And in regards to your other question (what is she being aware of?), that is her previous missions and life; she is also starting to develop a "friendship" with one of the other dolls (Siera).

Sure sounds like a great show!

It actually kinda reminds me of the movie The Island, with the clones and stuff? The whole Alpha/Echo and w/e naming system and being brain wiped and then one of the bunch starts remembering things... Pretty cool connection, The Island is one of my favorite movies. If Dollhouse is anything like it I know I'll be a fan! (Does anyone who's seen both see this connection too?)
 
Can you watch the episodes on the Fox website? I'm not sure how many of them are still on there, but there has only been like 3 episodes, so they're probably all still on there.

This last episode revealed that a character, who the FBI agent has been questioning about the Dollhouse has turned out to be an actual doll.
