I imagine it's going to be a very long time before we know who survived the big showdown at the end of Angel.
Even in her weakened state (after all that explosive energy was drained from her), Illyria still seems stronger than a slayer, so I can't imagine her not surviving. I doubt that Gunn survived, but he could always pull a Principal Wood and surprise us. Angel and Spike surely survived (Joss wouldn't dare kill them off), and Connor was presumably out of harm's way long before the final battle began. Lorne is almost certainly safe somewhere, but I wouldn't be surprised if we never see him again.
We may find out what happened to all the Angel characters at some point during this eighth season, probably through an explanation (maybe even by telephone) that one of them relays to one of the Scoobies. Or we may not find out anything until Joss begins a season six Angel comic. I don't see why he wouldn't do one. I would have thought he would have had more of a reason to do a season six Angel comic in the first place, but he decided to do a season eight Buffy comic instead. That still puzzles me.
