Okay, so I was thinking last night, while I was watching Hero, and when Doyle has his visions, he's half demon but they still really hurt him, and the same happens to Cordy when she's human. But when she becomes half-demon they don't hurt her. I don't get it. I know they were different types of half-demon and that could have make a difference, but why would the demon blood stop the pain when they didn't for Doyle..?

Skip told her that the only way that she could survive the ever increasing severity of the visions was to become "a higher being." Maybe whatever type of "higher being" she became was specifically able to survive the visions without feeling any pain whatsoever, whereas Doyle, whatever type of demon was in his ancestry, wasn't a high enough being to completely handle the visions without pain.

Maybe it's a matter of how long somebody has this visions? Cordy became partdemon in s3, and ony had visions for one season. We know that her visions when she was fully human hurt like hell, but it got worse with time. So maybe the pain was yet to come. We don't know how long Doyle had the viseions, so it could be possible.
And Doyle just happened to be halfdemon, while Cordy ws especially turned into that tosurvive her visions. Don't you think it woul've been wise for Skip or the PTB to pick a kind of demon that would be able to stand the visions? I'm sure there are stronger and weaker types of demons, so maybe her part demon was strong enough to stand the visions. That also makes sense, considering how much power she suddenly had after she became partdemon.

Actually skip said she'd have to become part-demon to keep the visions. She became a higher being becasue at the time skip decieved her into believeing for the good she had did down here she was deemed a higher being which we all know was a ruse for season 4. But as someone already stated cordy must have been crossed with a demon whose capable of withstanding the visions. Also what was cool and new for her visions was after the transformation how cordy's vision's temporarily manifested.
