In Blood Money I think I can't remember exactly what episode, the one where angle sets Darla and Drusilla on fire. Angle had been getting more and more "dark" and Darla said it's not Angelus and it not angel it's something else! Is he acutely some thing else or just grumpy?

Well that makes the show more exciting and lets Angel seem darker. Also, it really states he crossed a line, but is not his old self again (but he was probably pretty willing to completely go back to his old self. Seemed like anyway, I mean the sleeping with Darla part)
