I have been thinkin about something.Dinosaurs...before clicking out of this, just listen...Okay im not the type of girl to stay awake for science, let alone any other class!HAHA!Anyways, so im not sure if this topic is right. But once upon a time, there was a time when there was no earth! Then there was, but it was all water...How do you think the dinosaurs were made? How do you think they were braught to life???Some people say god created it all...what do you think?

i think that some people put to much weight in creation stories...whether it be the christian, heathen, or science opinion....

Me...no opinion...don't really wanna try to say that one viewpoint is right cause i'm lacking allot of info on the subject...

SCIENTICIFLY PROVEN THEORY or at least, a summary of it, by me.

It's a process of evolution, first this planet was a hard core, with a sea on it, filled with all kinds of atoms and molecules, and at some points some of the molecules were organic, and those organic molecules at some point, began forming systems (Mitochondria's, Golgi-systems, things that can be found in any cell of living beings nowadays) and the systems came together and started working together, and at one point, they became a symbiotic one celled creature. And then cells started working together and formed multiple celled organisms, Cnidaria, at first. Those are animals like Jelly-fish, wihtout any hard parts. But these evolved into fish, and those into amphibias. (As land had slowly started to fall dry.) And finally those amphibias turned into reptiles, wich grew to abnormally large proportions, which we call dinosaurs. There you have it. No divine interventions, no aliens, just mother nature.

Personally i dont believe in the creation storys. Plus i thought that it was scientifically proven that all living things evolved form single celled organisms like Allycat said. and then they evolved into Dinosours and stuff. not very scientific but oh well hehe 🙂

the whole contradiction i get with the whole evolution theory is that the very fact that we age and grow weak and die kinda screws with evolution....why...

the first rule of nature is to survive...no matter what...self preservation...the thing i don't get is that how would an organism evovle the ability to age if their first rule is to survive at all costs...i don't see aging as an advantage...cause even though it fufills the removal of less adept older versions of organisms to newer better versions of organisms in niche markets...that role could easily be played by predators and natural ocurrences...

Nicely put Rayne...lol....

I'm Catholic, but I don't really believe the whole Genesis story of how the world was made...but I don't think you can dismiss it all off to sceince either.

For how many years there was nothing on earth and then all of a sudden one tiny molecule creates a chain reaction with another tiny molecule. The possibility of that is very slim.

haha good one Rayne 😀

well if we didnt age and we were just born into this world as we were as babies then how would we survive?? i do agree with you that the first rule is survival, but the aging process is survival. could you imagine any person surviving in this world if they were still a baby?? Plus i also think that how would we evolve if we never die and did not age. there would e no room for evolution would there.

lol, good one rayne, well, with me not having a religion, I say that one mythical being creating everything is alittle out there(that's just my opinion and I except some people believe that...so please don't be sending me hate mail) but I agree with the evolution theory, I find that just a little more probable

evolution! and the egypsans the older once, they where from uother space, they new about pluto like 3000years b.c and it wasn't discovered before the early 1900s.. explain that.. and all the other things they new!(okay, i've been watching so much discovery channel LOL)

yusu+cream=yum!: i agree with that! evolution is that beings can live and grow, die and that's how all things go! and after a sertain amont of time things will start to become different!

Hahaha, I could argue you that science is a bunch of crap, but it would invoke to much effort out of me, and in anyway, it would be useless. For all normal purposes, what you said should hold true.

And Soulgasm, what you say about we getting old and die is essential to the whole evolution-"survival of the fittest" thing, if we don't die, then the world would be filled with creatures, who can not only not feed because plants and animals also wouldn't die, it would be a bunch of starved to death beings, just laying there.

The whole point of dying, from a nature point of view, is so we pass our genes to the next generation, they get the good stuff we have and do the same so the species itself survives, if they don't survive they weren't meant to. Lamarck explains it pretty well.

Possibly... the creation story for religious people.. and science work together... and God was just a magical scientist and made it with his knowledge of science. 😉

they poped out of the ground lol Im not a relegous or schience freak and I dont belave in science but I think they did a poof and boom they were there...or they evolved from somethink else?? Im not sure lol

I think that anyone who thinks too long and too hard about the nature of existence and the origins of life will eventually come to the conclusion that neither science nor religion really explain anything (not even when you combine the best bits of both) and thus we don't really exist. This is a dangerous conclusion to reach, since in proving that you don't exist you'll suddenly find yourself winking out of existence like Marty McFly when his parents don't hook up.

Usually I'm down with the whole scientific primordeal soup evoloution thing. But sometimes I feel like I'm in the religion camp, since I am a recovering Catholic and that sort of stain never comes out no matter how hard you scrub. ...But then I look at something like the Book of Job and I decide that the fundamental problem with the ineffabality of God is that He's just so f'ing ineffable, you know?

And then there are scientific ideas like Strings, which raise the very real possibility of infinite universes...which is kind of comforting in a way, since that would theoretically give us all a universe in which we get to be right. Assuming we mange to live in the right universe, at any rate.

:: heaves a big sigh :: This conversation started with dinosaurs. And all the dinosaurs I've ever seen (at least the ones that weren't mold-injected plastic) came from Industrial Light & Magic. Maybe they created it all, and were just a series of on/off states somewhere in the ether, running a sophistocated life-sim with really kickass THX audio.

You know, that was the longest I think I've ever taken to say "I don't know" in my entire life. And now I'm back to fading out like Marty McFly...DAMN YOU DOC BROWN! DAMN YOU AND YOUR DELORIAN!!!

I have no idea, i mean i'm not exactly sure i believe in one god, making everything but i donn't really believe in the Darwin theory.

I'm gonna say they just magically appeared.

We can't have all the answers. Humans think to superiorly of themselves. We're but a speck in the universe so DEAL WITH IT! We are the manipulated, and one day, if we're good little boys and girls we will control all! hmm..

LMFAO LD! I see what you're sayin'...

I say why does it have to be scientific or religous...I'm no wise philosepher but why can't it be a bit of both? Why does it have to be all scientific without any explination of a higher power? And why can't the same thing be true about "God"? Why does it have to be one way or the other? I just think that's too close minded for me. I think there is a good healthy mixture of Godly-science that makes things interesting like that... Reguardless of what anyone says I refuse to believe that any of it is BLACK or WHITE.

oh so true, oh so true! it would be very! VERY puffy to think we are the only cretures with our intelegence twho ligves in this univers! cos it's a BIGBIG univers out there!

Not the very scientific type are you?

The aging thing is not really the idea of mother nature, balance is. Evolution is a way to equalize disrubted balances. Reproduction is far more important to evolution then long lasting lives.

At first there are butterflies, they are white and live in a very green area. Then there come birds, who hunt for them. The butterflies gets spotted easily. They start to die at a fast rate. At some point, one butterfly's reproductive cells mutates, she gets green child instead of white. Now the green butterfly doesn't get spotted very easily, so he can reproduces more then the white ones, and his children are green too. So slowly but surely, the white ones die out, but the butterflies are now green. And get spotted less easy. Now there is a balance again.
