Something funny from work today

Just thought I'd share something that happened at work today- I went to the printers to pick something up and found my colleague Gillian running off a couple of pictures of Morena Baccarin. Turns out she'd seen her in V over Christmas and wanted to have her hair done the same way, so was taking some pictures to the hairdresser.

Where it gets funny is that Gillian is about 5ft tall if that, 50 or 51, and we work for a bank. I mentioned that I knew Morena Baccarin from Firefly...but seeing as Gillian had set her heart on having her hair done in that style didn't quite have the heart to explain Inara's character to her- I don't think it would have gone down well somehow!

I'm confused. What kind of hairstyle did she want. They're not exactly the same.

On one hand, if she's ok with having the same hairstyle as an evil, coldhearted lizard trying to take over the world maybe having the same one as a caring and smart "companion" isn't much worse. 😉

He said she saw her in V, so I'm guessing the second one. LOL at your description! 😛 I wish I had the guts to cut my hair that short, good for her!

That was my guess too but when why does it matter who Morena played in Firefly? She would look nothing like that anyway. Plus this added to the confusion "I mentioned that I knew Morena Baccarin from Firefly...but seeing as Gillian had set her heart on having her hair done in that style" since to me it sounds like "that style" is refering to the Firefly one. But I'm very well aware that I'm easily confused. Don't feel the need to hide that fact so that's why I asked.

No problem in asking! I was a confused too, that's why I had to say I was guessing that they were refeering to the second one. I think he means that he didn't have the heart to tell her that her character was a companion.
