Ohh and FYI - Faith was the active Slayer at the end of season 5, Buffy lost that when she passed on to Kendra!

When Buffy is resurrected though, thats when things get fun - the show seems to suggest that Buffy is once again the active Slayer thanks to Willows resurrection spell.

Well then, the debate brings the question...are there now 2 (Pre-Chosen) slayer lines? That in itself is flawed.

My personal belief.

When Willow resurrected Buffy she didn't take the line from Faith, what she did was fracture the line. This is why the First can cause it, its a proper disruption.
Both Slayers would need to die for the next to be called.

I'm not too sure about the fractured slayer line. It seems feasible, but on the other hand, the First wanted to kill the potentials first (seems logical), then Faith, then Buffy. That could mean that he assumes that Buffy is the proper Slayer again. Or maybe he just thought she was the more powerful Slayer, that could also be. Because, I mean, after killing all the potentials it wouldn't really matter whether he killed Faith first or Buffy first.


It's this bit of the discussion that confuses me most. Maybe there should be a thread for discussing what happened to the Slayer line when Buffy was magically ressurected. Or is there already one? (sw)
