Call me insane, but this one thing has been bugging me ever since I thought of it. Okay, we all know Buffy died at the end of season five, then was resurrected in season six. Does this mean that there's another Slayer out there, other than her and Faith? Because, this would be true to the "when one Slayer dies, another one takes her place" addage, but would it count when Buffy died that second time, considering that she'd already died, hence why Kendra was called? Just something that's been bothering me for awhile. ^_^
 
No, Buffy is not technically the 'True' Slayer, Faith is, and there won't be another Slayer(probably)until Faith dies. Although I think they may find a way to circumvent that rule if they decide to make Dawn a Slayer, given her rather unique background.
 
Kendra was called when Buffy died in 'Prophecy Girl'...Faith was called when Kendra died in 'Becoming Pt 1'...No slayer was called when Buffy died in 'The Gift' because in the line of heritage of the slayers, Buffy was already considered dead...It's actually a fluke that there are two slayers alive at the same moment.

Did that make sense?🙁
 
The only way that Dawn will become the next true slayer, will be for ME to kill off Faith.
That's a very plausible ending for the character considering she's off doing other projects and really too busy to come back on BtVS.
 
i don't understand how dawn can become the slayer when she's like not even real
and it doesn't follow the "rules"
 
The only way Dawn can become a slayer is because the writers write it and Joss says so!
 
More likely, Dawn will assume Buffy's slayer duties. Technically, Buffy is not the true slayer anymore (not since she died in season one and Kendra was called to duty, that is).
 
i really dont think that they would consider having dawn become a slayer, its your birthright to b a slayer and well she wasnt born

i mean sure i think that maybe dawn will do some more fighting now like after the thing with buffy n the earth demony things when they got stuck down the hole

Ya I just dont think Dawn would be a true slayer she was not born plus its kinda cliche' Now Dawn fighting deamons like Xander and the rest of the Gang I could see that for sure

Well the thing is about Dawn is that since she has such a unique heritage they can do pretty much anything they want with her. I really, truely hope, they make Dawn grow up in S7 and be useful, because IMHO, she has more possibilties then any other person on the show. We still don't really know all that much about her.
 
Considering the massive imagination that Joss has, you can never really predict what happens next!!!

Dawn is very unique in that she was 'born' out of the super natural not to mention made from the slayers blood. It was said in season 6 that she is just a normal girl now but I'm thinking that since Buffy didn't know about her slayer skills until she was 15 or 16, Dawn may discover some special powers of her own as she grows up. And god I hope she grows up quick cause at the moment she's kinda annoying, kinda very! But anywho, I'm not saying that she might have slayer skills but she's bound to have some of the super natural left in her.

i hope shes grows up to, shes really pissing me off with her whining, shes really annoying when she moans about not being able to go with buffy like when she had to stay with clem, shes just moaned and moaned

i think she will grow up tho, i hope there is something special about her, or not so much slayer powers, but girl that was made out of magickal energy and slayers blood powers

but i mean shes sposed to be wot 15? yeah freshman is 15 rite?

i mean i wasnt that immature when i was 15, whining oh im not a kid, yet she moaning like one
 
Well, NB said something about that at a recent convention, "There's still much more to Dawn then people think." That could be a clue right there. But I think ME realizes now they screwed up the Dawn situation pretty badly and will rectify that situation this season. But as to WHAT they decide to do with her? The sky is pretty much the limit here.
 
I concur. ME is definitely going to make amends with its viewers and deliver us with a new improved Dawn. My contention is that her bratty ways were a necessary plot progression for her to get to where she is now headed.
 
Dawn remnds me of my younger sister, only my sister is less capable than Dawn seems to be... and she's younger.
