I wanna expand my music interests...
-so EVERYONE post your favorite song/or song you think everyone should hear from the last posts Artist
-then post your own Artist that your interested in hearing a song from that you never heard before but are willing to hear the next posters opinion on which song you should hear (if that makes sense..i was never good at writing 😱)

This is the CD version, but I much prefer to hear it live. If you like this version, you should definitely check out any of her live performances of this song. They're usually slower, more soulful and just better I think...

I'm curious about The White Stripes.

I love The White Stripes. Everyone should hear De Stijl, on a record player. The entire way through. No single song. Another song that everyone should hear is 'The Big Three Killed My Baby'. Fantastic on vinyl!

Hrmm... Metallica. I've never got into them. I like most hardcore, but I've always found it to metal... Anything that would change my mind and get me into them?

If there are any hardcore Metallica fans on here, I'll probably regret making this post, but I think that their song "Whiskey in the Jar" (it might be a cover, I don't know) wasn't too metal-sounding. Felt more like normal rock to me (with a pirate twist? lol!). I don't know too much about the band, which is why I hesitated in making this post, but here you go! (oh, and thanks for the White Stripes song recommendations! I'll check those out later tonight... not on vinyl though 🙁 )

OK, so not new, and again, not so country anymore. If you haven't seen the documentary Shut Up and Sing about the Dixie Chicks' ordeal, you absolutely need to!

A cover of it by Love Spit Love was played in the movie The Craft and then used for the Charmed theme song. But nothing beats the original.

I love this band!! they aren't heard very often here but I found out about them via a friend. Their sound is unique and believe it or not, most songs are love songs. Here one of my favorites:

I want hear Sufjan Stevens best song. I have listened to him a bit, and I really like what I hear (my favourite is to be alone with you so far), but he has so many songs, so its hard to know which ones are good. Some are a little too slow and quite I think and others are great.

I suggest someone try to change the name on this thread, I think a lot of people are just reading the title and not the actual content of the thread. With a different name it would be less confusing. 🙂 It's really a dun thread and I think more people would join in if they understood what it was about in the title. 🙂
