The Magic Position - Patrick Wolf
This reminds me of a specific person. Plus, it's a really happy song.
Rotterdam (Or Anywhere) - The Beautiful South
Bette Davis Eyes - Kim Carnes
Torn - Natalie Imbruglia
All I Wanna Do - Sheryl Crow
Secret Smile - Semisonic
These all remind me of being a young kid - they were played on the radio all the time when my dad was driving us to school. I always used to complain about him listening to BBC Radio 2 every morning, but I loved them really.
Total Eclipse of the Heart - Bonnie Tyler
This was the anthem of our English class during our last year at school. It made more sense at the time, but I loved that class.
You Belong to Me - Vonda Shepherd
It was an act of genius having Vonda Shepherd sing all the music for Ally McBeal, and I can't hear this song without remembering how much I loved that show. It was a tough choice between this, "Tell Him", and "You're The First, The Last, My Everything" btw!
Crazy in Love - Kane
It's so funny. Plus, it totally sounds like a Langel love song, via Darla:
Angels dancing in my head again
And it keeps my walking pace a little faster than
What it used to be
'Cause she found me
Now there's dancing in my head
Am I crazy?
Well, yes, I am
I don't think that it seems really all that strange
When I'm skipping down the road singin' her name
I mean, sure, it takes some creative apostophising with "Angel's", but hey. Plus, the image of Christian Kane actually "skipping down the street singin'" or "doin' cartwheels in the rain" must give
anyone a smirk!
Oh, and then of course there's "Fairytale of New York", but only at Christmas. Of course, since there's only 286 days left we're getting close. Where'd I put that banner again...
