Songs you´re ashamed to admit that you love

Ashamed of? Hmmm...
I like Britney Spears songs. I used to be big fan of hers and have all her CD's. I don't listen to her old albums this much these days but I still play songs like "Sometimes" or "Born To Make You happy" from time to time.
And I like "Gimme More".

I have a few cd's that perhaps might be embarrasing if someone were to just be looking through them. Like the Romeo + Juliet soundtrack for instance. Oh, and after watching Stardust I downloaded Rule the World by Take That. I would never admit that to some of my friends. Looking through my music on my laptop just now, I've come to realise that if someone else was to do the same they'd die laughing. I have collected an assortment of ridiculous stuff. One song is off an album called "Meowy Christmas" by "Jingle Cats". Yeah.

I don't actually listen to the random stuff though. It just accumulates. Honest.

And yes, it is actually cat noises put to music.

I'm not really that ashamed of any music I listen to. Sure, I listen to S Club 7, Spice Girls, Busted, Abba, Blondie, Britney Spears, Cher, Westlife, Boyzone and Black Eyed Peas to name a few! But I always just say, hey, I have an eclectic music taste!

It depends on the people I'm in company with when playing music also. But that doesn't mean I'm really ashamed of what I'm listening to..lol. Just means I'm sure some people wouldn't appreciate some of the cheesier stuff I listen to!

But..urm, to answer the thread title. A couple of the songs that I guess many I'm a teeny bit ashamed to admit I love are:

im sure you've come to realize i aint ashamed of anything i like, pretty much things i should be i suppose are soundtracks, theme songs, old music of any kind but im sure you all love it too. we own our weirdness hells yeah!

Well I listen to a ton of soundtracks all the time but not really embarassed. A song that is a bit odd for me to like so much is Bust A Move - Young MC cause I really dont like rap very much but I know every word to this song. Not really embarassed by it thought actually think its kind of sweet cause I can rap. :biggrin:

"Konstantine," by... well, I don't know who sings it. I like the piano. I basically love anything with a decent piano arrangement -- even if the rest of the song is terrible.

I'm not really ashamed of my musical taste, even if it DOES include the Spice Girls. *defiant glare towards all comers*

However, the K-Rose country songs in the GTA:SA soundtrack are another story. I half-despise myself everytime that a cheesy "I'm-sorry-for-myself-being-such-a-bastard" schmontz like Statler Brothers - New York City brings a tear to my eye. Which actually happens a lot - every other time I hear it, to be precise. :blushy:

There is another song Im ashamed to admit that gets me dancing Ice Ice Baby...... there was a song on the radio at work this morning that begins in a very similar manner ( I think it is called Under Pressure?) any way I got all excited that is was Ice Ice Baby and was bitterly disappointed when it turned out to be a different song 🙁 😛 My workmates were spared the terror of my dance moves.

Backstreet Boys.

I love lots of their songs, especially when they sing them on stage. They have lovely voices. "Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely" makes me cry. "Everybody, Backstreets Back" makes me wanna dance.
