Someone once posted that Wes only loved Lilah in the same manner as Spuffy love, but not soulmate love.

What in the hell is soulmate love? Is there such a thing? Or is it adolescent fantasy?

I fear it's one of those things, we can only know, when we breathe out our last breath.

I agree with Allycat, its just something we know and something you probably feel.

But it is overly obvious Lilah and Wes were passionite sex like Spuffy S6

I suppose you will know once you feel it. Some people argue that a soul mate does not necessarily have to be of the opposite sex or involve sex at all for that matter. Some argue that soul mates can be found within very good friends and even animals.

I don't believe in soulmate love. I don't believe that anyone is destined to be with anyone else. You fall in love and it's good and you can be happy together, but you still have to work at a relationship.

Also, I don't really see the parallel to Wes/Lilah and Spuffy love. I mean I understand the part where they were bad for each other, but I saw the Wes/Lilah relationship as much more functional than Spuffy. I thought that they're emotions were truer. Why yes, I am a Wes/Lilah 'shipper, why do you ask? 😉

I agree. Soulmate love? How about just down right love... it all takes work and understanding.

I'm a Wes/Lilah shipper, but not a Spuffy shipper. I think the lines are more blurred with W/L. Did they love each other, did they hate each other? Who knows? All I know is that Wes had an extremely difficult time chopping Lilah's head off.

I don't believe in soulmate love...two destined to be together...just don't see that being real, more of a fantasy story type thing. Love isn't destined, it just happens.

I so wish that soulmate love exists..But I don't agree with Spuffy=Wes/Lilah...Spuffy was way more brutal...

I heard a saying once, it went something like 'if your relationship isn't complicated, he isn't your soulmate.' I think soulmate love is earth-shattering, knees weak, butterflies in your stomach when you kiss kind of thing. But also it has a gentler side, of the two of you understanding each other without needing to talk about it. Its passionate but the type of passion they share isn't something that flares bright then burns out, it lasts forever. (Don't I sound like the worlds biggest romantic...lol..) Does everyone find their soulmate...no...but its nice to think there's a chance you will 🙂

I never looked for a similarity between the two relationships, but now that you mention it, you can see the slight similarities.
