First off I would like to start by saying hello to all my wonderful friends here at BB. I took a little hiatus once hockey season began and was off watching the Flyers and debating hockey. Anyway I was wondering did anyone else get the impression that when Buffy was in heaven she was alone? Just the way she explained it made it feel warm cozy and with a feeling of contentment but also that she was by herself. To me I also think that regardless of how comfy cozy the afterlife was a person would be ecstatic to be back amongst the living and with one's loved ones.

About Buffy, you're right, it does seem like she was alone in her heaven. Or else I feel like she would have mentioned Joyce. I guess thought the way described it, heaven was more a way of feeling than it was a place where to be, so that's another interesting perspective, because a feeling doesn't include other beings. If heaven was happiness and peacefulness, you would feel like that regardless of if you were alone or not.
I'm getting confused in my own thoughts now 😛 so I'll leave it at that.

Buffy said something about being "warm, and safe, and loved, and complete," something like returning to the security of the womb. The love more or less surrounded her, without requiring a specific focal point, like Joyce. It was just there.

Buffy might have been alone in her own personal version of heaven, but at the same time, she was in HEAVEN. OF COURSE she's going to be upset at being pulled out of that place, whether she was back with her friends and family or not. She was 'safe and warm and finished' and she was dragged out of there, back to this hard, cold, cruel world, a world where she had to crawl her way out of her own grave and go back to putting her life on the line night after night after night when she'd already fulfilled her duty.
Alone in her heaven or not, I will always believe that Buffy would rather - and deserve - to be in that heaven rather than on this earth surrounded by her friends.

Of course I can not speak from personal experience and it is impossible to say for sure how one would react in that situation because the feelings one experiences in "Heaven" are not replicable. I however like to believe that I would be glad to back alive on earth especially with the knowledge that if I continue on the path that I was on beforehand heaven awaits me.
