Okay, so I've always been the daydreaming type, but yesterday, we had an R.E test, and I daydreamed through about 20 minutes of it, and we I tuned back in, I found I'd spent a lot of time writing about Buffy which was obviously nothing to do with the test. Then on the evening, I was on the phone to my friend for about 2 hours, and my friend said I didn't talk for about 15 minutes, and I don't even know why. Then I was watching Once More, With Feeling, apparantly I sang along to all the songs, even though I didn't realise where I was 'til 'Walk through the fire' came on; and then I woke up this morning on the floor holding onto the bed for dear life...And already I keep spacing out and I've been about twenty minutes. I don't get what the hecky is going on...Any suggestions? =/

Are you stressed out? Do you have a lot on your mind? Maybe that's what's wrong.

Other than that I don't have the slightest.

The psychological term for this is "dissociating," but my psychologist husband says you shouldn't be moving around and dissociating at the same time. And he says if you're having blackouts (and if you woke up gripping the bed, you're having blackouts), you should go to a doctor, because that's very dangerous. Next time you could come to in the middle of the road. So either see a medical doctor (who will probably refer you to a psychiatrist/psychologist) or a counselor or a psychiatrist/psychologist. Whichever is most accessible to you right now.

Blondie's advice sounds good to me honey...that sounds a little worrying. Perhaps you should seek some professional help...your GP or a counsellor or teacher at your school...

Strange thing is, since then it hasn't happened, so, like, can that happen on just a one off occurance? =/

It can be a once off but still dont you want to get it checked out in case it isnt? I agree with the others go and see a doc or psyc.

It's always good to see a dr. no matter what. We have to do our best to take care of our pretty selves. 🙂

Love your sig! haha
I think you should definitely mention it in your next checkup. I can't really say "go to the doctor *now* because I always drag my feet about going to the doctor, but I do think it's something you should bring up next time you go and, if it happens again, I think it might even justify a special visit. Had to be a really scary experience. Here's hoping you feel better soon!

dont worry BOF. i blacked out on a weekly basis for 6 years in college. of course, mine was self-inflicted.

go to a doc and get your self checked out asap! : drool :
