It has been noted that there has been an increase in spamming around the boards and also that in alot of the threads members are straying off-topic frequently and basically just chatting between themselves.
Whilst we understand that everyone likes to chat this can be very annoying to other members who have to scroll through loads of pointless posts before they actually come to one that is relevant to the original topic of the thread.
We do have a chatroom for members to chat in, plus you can chat to each other via the boards Private Messaging system and no doubt alot of members either have MSN, AIM or some other IM program that they could be using as well.
It can also discourage other members from posting in threads if it appears that 3 or 4 members are just chatting amongst themselves. 😉 It can even sometimes deter potential members who may be browsing the boards before joining, if they see what appears to be a cliqué in a lot of the threads.
From now on the staff will be deleting any posts that stray off topic and are basically just members chatting with each other in no relation to the thread topic.
The rules regarding spam are shown below and also in our Code of Conduct - maybe some of you should refresh yourselves with our rules. 😉
