This goes without saying but any spam to increase posts counts again will be deleted. This is a discussion board so discuss...

We do not need endless threads of "thank you" "you're welcome" "no thank you" "yes" "I agree"
 
I'm sorry,I won't do it anymore....but,one thing,it is not to increase my count,I just don't..do it on purpose,sorry...

Well... I hope that I dont spam that much... 😉 I think it's great that (I was posting in the fan fiction thing) there is a limit thingy on how many types it atleased haft to be.... or is it just me that has never noticed it before? 😉
 
🙂 It used to be set at 10 but it's now back at the default value which is 50.


It is alright to thank someone as part of your post - assuming the rest of the post isn't just filler so your post count goes up. It is not alright to keep posting thank you or you're welcome to every person who replies to a thread. I was trying to read through the forums and all I was reading was back and forth between people making 3 word posts. Post count is not a competition.

There is a section on Spam in the FAQ which may be helpful.

Actually, I've discovered a little problem with the 50 character limit ... Most of the posts in the Game of Life forum don't necessarily require 50 characters, if you get what I'm saying. I totally understand the 'no spam' policy, but the 50 character limit sort of makes the Game of Life forum obsolite. You can't have one with the other ... Just putting that out there. 🙂

If you want my honost opinion, I'd do away with the gaming forum and just have one forum for silly, off-topic conversation. Sort of like it is now, but without the games. Re: see above. 😉
 
I think that the character thing is a good idea, and I too feel that the i'm new, thanks, sorry, and all those nonsence things. But Buffy, If you were mad about it because people did it to increase count, then why did you take the counter off?
 
Because now no one has any reason to spam or compete for post count, and no one can feel that the count does not accurately depict their time on the boards since it went down.
 
I think thats smart, at least people wont be arguing now 😉
 
hi i know that this has nothing to do with the thread but I haven't been online for a while & was wondering what happened to the pets?
 
There was a vote on whether or not to keep the pets, we went with the majority who decided that they did not want them.
 
Another good move by the staff here, a few improvements have taken place whilst I was away, thanks! 😀
