I feel like I'm the only damn Spangel fan here 😛
Please don't tell me that I'm the only one who loves the idea of these two!
Plus, Joss did let loose that they may have had smoochies in the past 😀 does anyone think that there could have been a possibility of them sharing something?

Spike mentions in the fifth season episode, "Power Play", that "Angel and me have never been intimate. Except that one--" Whedon has confirmed the possibility of a sexual encounter, and in the DVD commentary for the episode "A Hole In The World", he says: "You know, um, I just wanna say Angel and Spike, they were hanging out, uh, for years and years and years, they were in, you know, all kinds of deviant, they were vampires... Are we thinking they never...? Come on, people! I'm just sayin'. I'm just sayin'. You know, they're open-minded guys. They may be evil but, you know, they're not bigoted or closed-minded."

Back in 2003-2004 Spangel was one of the most popular couples in the fandom. You can google "Spike/Angel Manifesto" - it's quite entertaining read.

Joss teased slashers back them and he continues to do it now in comics.

I certainly enjoyed some Spangel fics, but I prefer my vampires with slayers, not with each other.

Really? You think Angel is a prude? I've never heard that before.

And to the OP, I don't really ship Spangel (My diehard Bangel heart prevents that) but I have read tons of their fic. But I do basically believe that when Buffy dies, Spike and Angel are going to cumshuck the grief right out of each other.
 
I ship Spangel! I REALLY want to see them hook up. I don't want a Spangel relationship... but a Spangel hook up/drunken crazy night that leads to awkward feelings and interactions... sounds AMAZING!
 
I'm more Spander than Spangel, but I definitely think those two got it on at some point. Whether that continued after Angel regained his soul we'll never know, but I definitely think they had sex at some point, even if it was more Angelus using sex as a way of dominating young Spike.

I would be rather more inclined to accept Spangel than Spuffy or Bangel, though, lol, and it's even crossed Buffy's mind!! (sw)

I completely agree! A relationship wouldn't exactly work between those two 😛 but I could definitely see them having a drunken mistake haha!

LOVE the Spangel fics 😀 I definitely think that too, there's a lot of fanfiction using that plotline actually 😛

I one of the fun ships I ship, along with langel and fuffy. But if we are talking serious shipping, and not just silly fun, i'm a diehard bangel all the way.

Spike and angelus have definitely had their man love in the past though, and maybe the not so distant past.....

The both of them are 100% staright, yhea but that's the fun of fanfiction. 😀 The wonderful world of "lets do whatever whacky sh*t we want!"

It's totally possible that Warren, Drusilla and Clem could give birth to a Slayer/Werewolf hybrid child who's totally cute, kicks arse and is married to both Gunn and Wes at the age of 2783!

I wouldn't say they're 100% straight, maybe 99% 😀 simply because of what Joss said about their past, and even Spike himself!

Got this theory that all vamps can be bisexual anyway, oh the fanfiction.. *swoon*
 
I ship spangel pretty hardcore. I believe that they are the one true pairing.

They definitely hooked up when they were bad and they carry that chemistry and spark all the way through to the end of angel season 5.

I believe that deep down they truly loved each other, and really wanted the best for each other. I believe that a successful relationship has certain factors. Chemistry, common ground, similar life long goals, and the power to test and push each other. Spangel definitely has all those things and plenty more.

I can imagine angel being all in denial about it and trying to blame it on magic of some sort. I guess in a way it would be similar to spuffy season 6, but with spike insisting he's just using angel. I could see Wesley and Fred being supportive of the relationship and being the ones to encourage the boys to admit their feelings.

Yeah, I basically love that ship 🙂

^ Boy's got a point. I got this theory that vamps really don't care about the gender most of the time. If they're attracted to someone, they're gonna go after them.

And don't knock Spander, lol. That was my first big slash pairing, and it still rates as my number...okay, number three, lol. But a Spander fic still holds the number one spot of my favorite fanfics ever. It's a damn good read.
 
I dig Spangel 🙂 They are fun to ship. It would have been really funny to see or find out more about that one time they refer too.
 
OMG...after Spuffy, I TOTALLY ship Spangel. I really love their interaction, and they can very much relate to each other, and seriously, how hawt would they be?? Actually, spangel fics are the only kind that I read. I like my other couples to stay as they are in the show on my mind. YAY for Spangel!
 
I LOVE SPANGEL!

For one, that'd be really, really hot. And two, I actually think their relationship is incredibly layered, and it'd be so interesting to see them together. They've got the dark past, the rivalry, the sexual history, the grandsire thing....I love it all. I don't know if I can picture them in an actual relationship, but as friends and partners who hook up every so often? Dude. Yes.
