Since I can't find the last Spangel thread I started a new one. Who else ships Spike and Angel together?

Spike himself admitted that they were intimate once, and Angelus did give him that kiss on the forehead.

Buzzfeed agrees!
 
Haha, that Buzzfeed list made my week 😀 That was pure awesome.

I do like Spangel, I like them just together in general as whatever they are (reluctant frenemies?) but also the playful notion of them actually being together as lovers. They have great chemistry and lets face it, anyone you've had any sort of relationship with for like 100+ years is bound to get on your nerves sometimes, but the fact that they're still around and can still trust each other says even more. If they gave into their sizzling tension maybe it'd cut their bickering in half 😉

Whatever happens, I'll always remember fondly that time they scooted off into the sunset together! <3

Oh I've been a hard core Spangel shipper ever since the show aired. 😀

Think they're perfect for one another, even If they may not realise it yet. *g*

That buzzfeed was awesome and hilarious. I like Spangel the way they are, they don't need to be romantic, but they do have great chemistry and play off each other well. Makes me want to go back and watch AtS S5.
 
"That one time" doesn't make for any more valid a romance then one kiss makes Fuffy a reality, but, what the heck, as the immortal Dino said

I see Spangel as more something that could definitly happen under the right circumstances. It's kinda like Fuffy that way.
Two immortal, soulled vamps are both in a pretty unique situation relationship-wise. Plus there's all that chemistry and tension- sometimes there is a fine line between love and hate.

For some reason I keep on being reminded of the relationship between Captain's Jack Harkness and John Hart from Torchwood's 2nd Season - like both Angel and Spike arguing about who was the 'wife' after the fact...

Oh, yes! Exactly! In fact I wondered if the episodes were part homage.
Angel and Spike in s5 of AtS are pure gold. I'm not a fan of the romantic pairing of Spangel, although I acknowledge the fact that eh, they did mingle at least once, but as a friendship I just love them so much. These two should never be around Buffy, they should just be around each other. Seriously, when you think about it, they are great friends. How many friends do you know actually remain friends after both being in love with the same girl and trying to kill each other a few times.

In s5, although they bicker all the time, you can actually see that these two are family. One of the reason why AWITW is my favorite Angel episode is partially because of them. You can tell that no matter kind of adversary they have, the do care about each other, and they care about the team. When they are talking on the bridge, it's like dam, these two make really good friends.

I wish Spike would have been on AtS earlier, maybe from s4 and on. Plus Spike had great chemistry with the Angel cast, especially with Fred.

I never see them as having a romance - but sex, definitely. Their interpersonal relationship is so complex - so much history. No one outside can really completely understand it. Take Angel's "I'm not going to risk anyone I care about" and not only Spike volunteering but Angel simply accepting. Those two love each other but they go by a separate set of standards. They have each others backs - no discussion. Since we know sexuality tends to be fluid, I can't see why they wouldn't be sleeping together. It's just that romance is too pallid and human to describe them.

Yeah - I seriously ship them.
 
BTW - Spangel is unavoidable no matter who they go off with in this human lifespan. Theoretically they are endless beings who have sworn to help humans - and you need someone who understands.
 
I am currently going through a major Spangel kick recently, personally I think there dynamic could go either way friendship or romantic but either way I just like them together

It was not "that once" nor was it "that one time". It was "that one....." Left wide open - fill in the blank. And Joss said they were at it regularly.

Thank You, I actually recently stumbled across this site my self, I have read some of them but not all. Really like what I have gotten to. I have an idea for a spangel season five fic but I not sure if I should do it or not

Definitely go for it. You might want to get a Live Journal acct - there are a lot of writers there, and a lot of people working on stories - and best of all a very supportive community.

It's on Live Journal (LJ) and you can make friends with the author. When I first started there I would read stories and then make friends with people who seemed to like what I like. Go for it - you have nothing to lose!
 
I'm coming up to season 2 of Buffy on my rewatch, so looking forward to the tension between Angelus and Spike, and of course that kiss.
 
Well gross might have been the wrong word, but I just don't see them as ever having anything which could be deemed romantic, at best there is a begrudging respect. Even when they are supposed to be on the same team they still seem to scribble😀
