So..I've just ordered "Spark and burn" and "Queen of the slayers" online. I thought they sounded neat.

SO I just want to know, have you read them? Were they good?

And the same thing goes for "Spike and Dru: pretty maidens all in a row", cos I'm considering buying it.(It's about a DANISH slayer 😀 Yay Denmark gets the fair share in to the buffyverse)

Those are the last 2 books that I bought, but it was a few years ago. I didn't finish any of them though. But Queen of the slayers was really bad. And the other one, I heard it was really good, but I got kinda bored. History-not for me.

I only read Queen of The Slayers and it was good. Nancy Holder is a very romantic writer I guess, and she just can't seem to decide from Angel and Spike from what I read.
Anyway, I don't want to say any spoilers, but she really did manage to "complete" things. The book is set after Chosen, and we know what's been happening with Buffy in The Girl In Question on Angel, so she plays with that very well.

Hope you like to read it, I haven't done it in a very long while.

Queen of the Slayers was okay. Well the reason I bought it was I wanted to know how the story continue, and well, this gave me ew material. Although I have to admit that I read most of it in Russia on my students exchange when I was trapped in my students house because she was too busy with her boyfriend to go out with me, and well, I had nothing else to do. So I just read it all at once, which more or less left just a huge blurr. Also, at that time, I hadn't seen Angel s5, so everything that was mentioned there...I couldn't make anything out of it.

Pretty Maids All in a Row is good if you ask me. I don't know what I can tell you about it without spoilering, but it's Spike and Dru at their best.

Pretty Maids All in a Row is one of my all time favorite BTVS novels. I think it's incredibly well written, even if it veers off canon majorly.

Spark and Burn was ok. I wouldn't be dancing about it, but it was a good way to pass some free time.

Queen of the Slayers I hated with a burning passion. It was clunky, didn't listen to canon, and as it was, at the time, the only thing we had as far as 'what happened next' I'm really glad the comics came out, as I would have hated to think that this is where the gang ended up. Nancy Holder is one of my favorite BTVS novel writers, but she didn't hit the mark with this book. She is obviously a Bangel shipper, as her privious books with testify to, but because of what happened at the end of 'Chosen' she had to admit that Buffy did actually have feelings for Spike, so she had to acknowledge that. But the way she did it was just wrong, man, lol.

really wrong lol it's like threesome
i'd like to get into the whole buffy books thing--the only buffy novel i've read was a book called "chosen," but it was just the seventh season written down in novel form. are there any books you guys can recommend that are really good or essential or anything? queen of the slayers looks interesting. are there any books that have buffy and spike as a couple (in one form or another)?

I'd like that as well... There are far too many Bangel books out there... Spuffy books, we need. I would definately buy that!

I just love spike and dru pretty maids all in a row. It was so good that I have read it like 20 time and love it the cover work is amazing and the story is so ture to the spike and dru ship.

I saw it and made a deal with my teacher that if I got stait A's and came to school on time and had no problems he would get me the book.Well what better way to motivate me then to dangel a spike book in my face. It worked and he got me the book the next two days my nose was in that book and I didnt want to put it down. It was very good book.

I have not read the others that you talked about are they as good as the spike and dru one?

Well Spark and Burn is deffo a book just for you sweetie!
I didn't put the book down till I finished. The Spikeness will knock you down, and pray for more! It's wonderful, and very much in character. The flashbacks to the episodes, are so well described, that you can see it all from Spike's POW.

GO READ IT:: vampire

havent read "spark and burn" but i have got "queen of the slayers" and "pretty maids all in a row". i thought that they were good, "q.o.t.s" is a good after event of season 7, and spike n dru, i thought, was a hillarious book, its got dru's crazy sense of self in there which makes it good. would anyone recommened spark and burn? when i looked for it i couldnt find it anywhere but ebay was a ripoff for it!

oh. it is pretty bad then. spose ill just have to keep looking for ones in this country then lol.

anybody read/getting/heard anything about buffy: dark congress? it seems interesting, but i cant remember if its just come out, or has been out for a while. if anybody has got it though, let me know if it is good! 🙂

I've only read Q.O.T.S and i really enjoyed it! I think it followed brilliantly after season 7 and you can really picture the gang doing/saying everything that happens (Andrews character is just perfect). Although the book does have its flaws, it should definately be a good read if you want to know what happens after "Chosen".

I absolutely LOVE Pretty Maids All in a Row. It was definitely Spike and Dru at their best. I couldn't put it down until I'd finished it and I love to re-read it. Now I need to check out Spark and Burn...

(And I completely agree about needing more Spuffy books!)
