Speaking of music played in Chosen......

I really liked the song played as Buffy and Spike looked at each other from across the basement right before the Scoobies headed for war on Chosen. It was a sweet melody. Did anyone else like the tune?

The whole music selection for "Chosen" was great, especially the Final Fight by Rob Duncan which was played as the Slayers faced off with the Turak-Hon army. Sometimes music can capture how a person is feeling, and I think the song did so.

I don't know, it could've been better, I think they should've sticked with Christophe Beck.

And music is very important, the music for the big fight scene in Matrix Revolutions wasn't good enough, which screwed up the whole sequence. Whereas the music for the Last Samurai made the entire movie!
 
I agree about what people said about the whole 'the music on Chosen captured how they were feeling' thing 🙂
It was very empowering the music lol
 
I love all the instumental music from Buffy, no matter the season.

But I do love the final fight music (on the Radio Sunnydale CD). It's the best, and I can just see the visual image in my head when I listen to it.

I don't remember the song with them in the basement, though. You can be sure I"ll check it out though.
 
I don't ever listen to 'classical music' but in buffy i liked that music
 
It took me a while, but at the end of Bring On The Night when Buffy is making her speech to everyone, they're playing the Final Fight song in the background.

I also agree that the music in that episode was empowering.

There's a difference between classical and soundtrack music. I'm not a real fan of classical music either, but give me a soundtrack song by Silvestri, Zimmer or Newman any day!

I am a big fan of Alan Silvestri, I also like Danny Elfman. His music is good for that "creepy" feeling. ::bat:: ::bat:: ::bat:: ::bat:: ::bat:: ::bat:: ::bat:: ::bat::

I didn't pay a lot of attention to that scene,I was busy with my passing out,Spuffy makes me feel bad...about the rest of the ep,yeah,I guess the music was cool,but I was too focus on the fights to care for the music
 
"The Final Fight" section with Buffy and Spike at the end is actually played alot throughout the season.

I think in "Beneath You" and some other episodes, when the two are interacting, that section of the music is playing in the background. I think it makes for good continuity
 
The music certainly comferted me, with the whole Anya thing...
Seeing the Slayer's kick ass to that music...well...I'd describe myself as 'tingly' lol!

Um...I'll just pretend I didn't read that little comment...

But that music there was pretty awesome...
 
There's this one little passage in the final battle theme. It happens right after Buffy tells the First to get out of her face. She rises. Rona flings the scythe to her. She grabs it swings, and Uber Vamps go flying into the Chasm. At that point the music goes into power chords.

No matter how many times I hear that, it gives me a rush every time. I have to go dig out my old, worn out, Chosen tape. I never listen to the MP3, unless I have time to watch the whole episode. I feel sorry for people who aren't Buffy fans. They'll never know that rush.

BTW I disagree with Ally. Our taste is different. Much as I love Chris Beck's music, I love Robert Duncan's more. I'd watch a bad movie, just because I heard Duncan was doing the soundtrack. I'm not going to be forcing myself through Skulls 3 just because Beck did the soundtrack though.
