special effects in the pilot

holy jesus, they were the worst thing ever

when the main bad guy morphed into vamp face -- god, that was terrible. it was like an outtake from a bad fan movie using a halloween mask or something

and the vampire makeup was just -- i mean, goddamn.

i'd rather watch that snake from buffy

lol i never saw the pilot but in a lot of pilots its just to see how the actors act not the special effect if it all looks good the actors and stuff if they have chemistry on screen that kinda stuff they look at in a pilot btw where did u see the pilot?

I suppose they didn't go the whole hog for the pilot because it was only a pilot-i mean they probably thought why waste the money, their not sure if it was going to be a success or not.

Are you talking about the Angel pilot? Or the Buffy unaired pilot? I haven't seen an Angel pilot but I have watched the Buffy one, very amusing!

I thought the pilot was just the first one in ATS?

Oh you're probably right, I was thinking he might have been referring to an unaired Angel pilot or something, like the Buffy one, short, slightly different story, reeeeeaaallly bad special effects... 🙂

Thats why its a pilot episode. They're not gonna spend thousands of pounds on a pilot episode!
