I was watching "Port Charles Monday ( a soap) When it occur to me that the problem in the slayerline might be because of something else came back with Buffy, in "Bargaining". In Port Charles, an Slayer name Rafe is allow to go back to earth to be with his girlfriend. But, because he was allowed back, so was a soulless evil (although, very handsome)vampire name "Caleb". Rafe finds out he can not kill Caleb, for if he was to do so, he himself would die also. Caleb is Rafe's evil side. So, perhaps that's similar to what might be happening on Buffy. In bargaining". We are mislead to believe that Buffy had killed the Ghost/Demon (whatever) that came back with her, but if you examine closely, the ghost/demon She was fighting , was only giving her a warning . That is why it was upset with what Willow did. If that spirt/Ghost "was" what came back with Buffy, do you really think it would have made itself known? I think not. Buffy coming back could have brought back Caleb, which would make his powers equal to hers, if not more, considering she no longer have full slayer strength. He could be a male-slayer. The exact opposite of Buffy. he's male, and evil. and not suppose to be. therefore he would mess up the slayer line, because slayer are usually girls. There has been a lot of talk about "Male slayers" this year, on Btvs and Angel. Suppose male slayer are evil, or easly mislead.🙄

Speculation welcome😀

Great theory, but if it has allready occured on another show, do you think Joss will do this?!?!

It's a good theory... really make one think hard... almost too hard.

But yeah... maybe when Buffy came back in Bargaining, she did bring the imbalance back with her... and the ghosty thing was just warning her.

I don't think it has anything to do with Caleb though... cuz that is just too much of a coincidence from it happening on another show.

where in the crap did ANYONE, ANYTHING, ANYWHERE, ANYWHEN say that Buffy no longer had full-slayer strength???? noone has ever said that one the show!

And also...when has anyone mentioned male slayers on the show? or even in spoilers other then this one???

Maybe i missed a whole heck of a lot, but can someone please spcifically tell me what episode these were discussed in?

thanks!

O-K-A-Y but try not to be a smartass (i know it may be hard) but actually read what my questions were referring to which were how Spike's princess saying that "There has been a lot of talk about "Male slayers" this year, on Btvs and Angel." this statement is stating a fact! a false fact as far as i know....thats what i am asking about this! This part does not sound like specualtion! if it were she should have said "there could have been..." but again, i repeat she said, "There HAS been..."

also another contender for you being WRONG is that Spike's Princess states, "...considering she no longer have full slayer strength." while not correct English still CLEARLY implies that she is not S-P-E-C-U-L-A-T-I-N-G about such, that she has actually heard this, which i have not and am wondering where she heard this info. If this were S-P-E-C-U-L-A-T-I-O-N then she would have used phrases like "they could have explained it as..." or "she might have/have not..."

So thanks for showing your true colors Ally...and i ask anyone who actually has useful comments to please re-read my question above, and try and actually help the situation instead of instigating a situation...any questions? good..thanks!

I'm the smartass, at least I'm not complaining about incorrect English!

She would have lost some of the Slayer strenght which would have gone to Caleb, and maybe she became stronger, but gave the extra strenght away and therefore we didn't notice it, strenght has unfortunatly not something one can really measure, and it differs from one ep to another.

And yes it is a fact that there has been a lot of talk about male slayers, but by us fans that is, a lot of speculation and a lot of foilers, as always, but they never came true!

Thank you...i had not heard anyone speak of male slayers on the show nor had i seen any on the boards. I asked and you supplied that's how this whole thing works...how it doesn't work would have been showcased in your first response to me. However, i still don't think anything has been said, done or demonstrated at all to make one think Buffy is any weaker than before she died the first time, but at least i know where you may be coming from.

And i was not complaining about the incorrect English, merely stating that even though it is not correct it still states it as a fact and it can throw some people off...for instance i was trying to remember when it was ever mentioned on the show.

Your first approach was not helpful, this was the first (and hopefully last) time you have ever disrespected me on the boards. I normally agree with your viewpoints, and i raise one question and suddenly you have to quip with me. For me this issue is now dead, i just will not stand and be disrespected without dealing some back. hopefully, we're grown enough to offer assistance when asked instead of such quips.

Why such a the hostile tone? it only speculation. I ask everyone to post they own speculation 🙄

As for male slayer's references:

Andrew in "Showtime":

I think a guy slayer would be badass. Like"”like if there was this ninja, a guy slayer would be like, (holds up his hand in a karate pose and puts on a voice) "you may be silent, but this'll shut you up." (does a karate move) Hiya. He also had ask Dawn why are slayers always Girls?

Buffy asking wood if he has slayer powers in "First date" which implies that she thought he could be a male slayer.

BUFFY
(shakes head) No. Not most of them. Um, so, do you have any slayer powers? (giggles) I'm sorry, I"”I'm just so floored. I-I have no idea what to ask.

PRINCIPAL WOOD
No, I don't have powers. No super-strength or mythic responsibilities. I'm just a guy with a few skills 'cause her watcher took me in and raised me

Conner to Faith in Salvage

Connor asks her why all slayers are girls, and she says must be because we are better.

I was reference to the fact that Caleb (evil) might have came back along with Buffy (Good). In Get it Done we learn that a slayer was created by merging a demon with a human girl. The shadow man than try to merge Buffy with a demon, which implies that Buffy might not have came back with her Full slayer strength (demon). ( or they would not had tried to re-merge her with the demon, add that to the fact that the strength is suppose to go to the next slayer once Buffy had died (which would mean Faith). Caleb tells Buffy that he has something that belong to her . he Could be talking about her slayer strength (demon part that the shadow man felt she needed)

I. Willow spell - brought Buffy back, but because she wasn't suppose to come back , Caleb was also allowed back to balance the scale between good and evil.

2. Buffy -came back in two parts ( she did say she felt like she was missing something) Human Buffy -Buffy
Slayer strength- which Caleb got .

I had post the same specualtion on other boards , and never had to explain myself. BC&S and the stakehouse (which I'm a member of) and just wanted to hear others speculation .

Currently Cordy is pregnant in Angel, maybe her son (which is OBVIOUSLY demonic) will be Caleb? I dunno just slightly hit me today that it may be so!

Thank god, we are two adults and work this out (and not have another Soulgasm-like situation). I'm sorry if I came on a little strong.

I guess Caleb didn't get half of her strenght, I just think they got the same strenght!

I still have a question remaining: If Caleb is her evil-side, then how come she has been a bigger b*tch then ever, since she came back?!?!

Good point, he's supossed to be a fallen preast, so how can he only have been released when Buffy came back?!?!?

didn't they already deal with what came back with Buffy? i thought there was some demony thing that emerged a few episodes after Buffy was revived that claimed to be that whole deal...don't know been too long! lol

And i truly don't think there is a connection to Caleb with slayer powers...if Buffy didn't have her full slayer strength Willow would have killed her (again) last season when they fought, as it stands it was an intense battle...i think the thing that Caleb is referring to having is that seal thingy that Spike and ??? find in that old abandoned mission. I don't know if any of you have read anything about it, but Spike and one of the other guys (Andrew?) find out some stuff about Caleb and somewhere he used to hideout, when they get there, there is this sort of seal...don't know if related to the seal of danzathar at all...but it says something about it it for noone else but the slayer, or some such like that...

The thread is around the boards somewhere, obviously in the spoiler section, but i can't remember which one...anyone else read it?

my lord i must say that i dont think i have ever read such uninformative information in my life. starting in season one they make reference to buffys mental and physical strength by season three buffy was more powerfull then any other slayer by the time of the middle of season five giles was astounded by buffys unbelievable strength he tried to find something on how buffy was able to have the powers she did but he never did find anything to explain it her reserection didnt weeken her or take any part of her strength because it wasnt there to take when she died in season five she wasnt the true slayer faith was and still is that is why buffy was so unbelievably stronger then any other slayer when she died in th first season and came back she was stronger then ever even though the master had drained almost all of her blood she opened her eyes stood up and said lets go angel and xander were amazed at how stronge she felt (this next piece here is only speculation) i think that buffys powers are from the master that somehow when he drained her blood he ended up giving her more power then she had ever had if caleb was back because of buffy it would only be true if he was still inside of buffy the same as cordy catching a ride back with angels soul she is inside of him i dont know what part caleb has in this but theres no way he is buffys evil side or came back with her caleb wouldnt have a body to be in so he would have to be inside of buffy still to be here
