Now , didn't Drogyn say that he didn't know that the sarcophagus had vanished , and that he would have known if it wasn't pre destined to. He also mentioned something about time and how ilyria has some power to do with time. This means that there is a chance that Fred can be saved by somehow reversing time. Tell you what though ilyria outfit is sooooo cool.

I didn't hear him say anything about time-powers, but that may just be me.

I didn't hear that either...but I may have missed it. That could very well be a possibility. One I am hoping is true, because I don't want Fred to really be gone forever!

I am liking the whole time reversing thing, I want it to happen!

There was no mention of her time-altering powers. She cannot REVERSE time, only slow it down. If she could reverse it then why didnt she simply do it to defeat Angel or even go back to when her army was alive?

Sorry to spoil your fun but although it breaks my heart Fred is gone for good. I do think that if Angel reaches season 6 she may well return but now that looks very unlikely.

I'd like to know exactly what purpose Illyria's 'armor' serves. Axes already shatter against her skin. It didn't seem to do anything impressive (unless perhaps the armor is what allows her to distort time... which wasn't the impression I got). So why did Illyria break into W&H to get it? Obviously it's magical, I mean it's form fitting on Fred and I'm pretty sure Illyria, who isn't even close to human, doesn't just happen to have armor on hand which fits one perfectly. Obviously it had to shape itself to Fred's form (which I'm guessing is really the only real purpose the armor serves... they're hoping Fred in a tight outfit will drag us back to the TV after this blasted Smallville re-run-a-palooza they've inflicted on us Angel fans).

Any alternate ideas concerning what the armor might be good for? Maybe Illyria has an Achilles' heel that the armor might make up for? Anybody have an theories?

I, Like most people didn't HEAR anything about her time-altering powers. But she did show how she could 'ebb' time or slow it down. Like Baron Samedi, if she could have reversed it she could have easily gone back in time to kill Angel and the rest or even went back in time to her time

Now for Happy's question 😀
Its obvoius that the armor served as a 'second skin' for Illyria and could meld onto any of her vessels. My guess is that it possibly was a symbolic thing, a special armor that only highly respected people wear. Kinda like a crown that a King or Queen would wear :???: It could also protect her from other things, not just physical attacks but maybe magical as well? Theres numerous possibilities...

Maybe Ilyaria could slow down time and Willow could use the crystal to not be affected and reverse the process of organ liquidisation. I'm really wanting Fred back for at least a bit.

Maybe Ilyria doesn't go for that Hot-Sciency Chick look, hence the armour.

It's already been stated many times in Buffy that bringing people back from the dead is definate no no after Willow messing with the great beyond to bring back Buff. How do you reverse the liquidation of organs? If you knock over your jenga tower the bricks can be built back up but not if you put them in a wood-chipper. (I like that analogy. Gosh I'm proud of myself.)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the way I saw it, Illyria didn't really to any "time-ebbing" until after she got her new threads. Could that be what the second skin was for?
