Okay so there were alot of great speeches in S7 so I was wondering which ones you like. Heres mine in no particular order.

Xander's speech to Dawn about being a normal person.
Xander's speech to the potentials about Buffy
Buffy cookie dough speech
Buffy's chosen speech
Spike's speech to Buffy in End of Day's

I have about three that are great.

In order....
3. Xander's Potential speech to Dawn
2. Buffy's "We Just became an Army" speech in Bring on the Night
1. Spike's speech in Touched to Buffy

it was the season of speeches.

I don't like anyone of those. Gah, season 7 is the most annoyong speach-o-rama season ever. Especially when Buffy goes speach-mode, I fastforward.

this is exactly my list!! in that order!! i love all of those!

I like the speechs, and I like the fact the show mocked it self about it. Buffy's chosen speech is my favourite and Spike's is probably my least. Im not overly yay-Spuffy, or nay-Spuffy either, so it wasn't too much for me. Xander's Buffy speech was a 'mare cause I was like "no don't mention eyes!"

I hated Anay's "You're Just Lucky Speech". It really makes my blood boil. I mean, you are definitely entitled to your opinion, I just wanted to state this.

My favourite speeches in order are

1. Xanders speech to Dawn.
2. Buffy's we just became an army.
3. Faith's speech to Buffy about been leader

But she was telling the truth. Buffy wasnt picked because she was special, she was picked because she was lucky. Or unlucky...whichever way you take it.

Xander's speech to Dawn about being a normal person.

It was beautiful *wipes aawy tears*

It was a great speech, and i didnt get annoyed like I did (and a few other people on this thread seemed to as well) at Buffy's many longwinded speeches.

I was just about to start a thread on this lol I love all the speeches during season 7 but heres my list.

1.Buffy- We just became an army
2.Buffy- So what do you know speech (the one in potential where she leaves the potentials alone in the crypt to fight the vamp.
3.Anya-You're Just lucky... I love it because I hate it so much and disagree 100% and I think she was way out of line. I mean sure she was lucky to be chosen but once she was chosen she became better shes still the one and has to live with its burdens and rewards(if there are any)
4.Xander- You're not special, you're extrodinary.

couldnt keep it to three 😛

Here's mine (in an unknown order🙂)

Buffy's final speech (at the end of "chosen" when we here the whole "every girl who could be a slayer will be a slayer" plan) It made me go all giddy and wow, a great way to end a great series, in my opinion.

Xander's speech to Dawn...that was just AMAZINGLY good writing, I got all teary-eyed. The speech itself touched me, and the fact that it was XANDER telling Dawn (who she'd had a crush on through the seasons and was really close to) just made it that much better.

Buffy's cookie-dough speech... and yes this is partly because I like bangel (it's bad I know😉) but I also like how it showed how much Buffy had grown over the years. Like she'd finally come to terms with her being the slayer, as I found that that aspect of her vs. her social "normal girl" side seemed to be a huge struggle for her throughout the show. It gave me a sense of finality on the subject but at the same time left it open-ended in a way.

I love it how it was all serious 'we're gonna fight to the death' kind of speeches, then (i think its in) Storyteller, Buffy starts her speech, and Andrew admits these speeches can get 'kind of boring' and goes into his little story mode! (I think its then he starts to talk about Willow and Kennedy aswell).

Its just funny cus to that point the speeches were so serious, then Andrew just goes and makes fun of them, i really liked that.

Really? Maybe Buffy was picked because some unseen force saw a goodness inherent in her, that wasn't in other people.

Not that i didn't enjoy seeing Anya do her thing but in this case she was probably wrong. We knew right back from Welcome to the Hellmouth that slayers are chosen as part of some cosmic pattern. They all have a destiny to fulfill. Buffy was no different. She was the right girl, in the right place, at the right time.
