I was just aimlessly surfing & came across this:

Spider-Man On Broadway - Official Site

It's the homepage for Spiderman: Turn Off The Dark, which is a Broadway musical based on your friendly neighbourhood webslinger. I have to admit to being a bit speechless, Spidey the musical? Really? I dunno, apparently it features music by Bono & The Edge (he really needs to start going by David, he turns 50 next year for god's sake) and will have a budget of $54 million, the majority of which will be spent on a set that would have CB DeMille asking "is this not a bit over the top?" It got me thinking, what's the strangest project(movie, musical, album, anything really) you've ever heard of? Did it end up getting made & what was it actually like? For me, it has to be Evil Dead: The Musical, I'm a huge fan of the original movies & Sam Raimi in general & I really didn't think that it could work as a musical. However, I was wrong & the result was a watchable, smart & enjoyable affair.

Yeah, I remember hearing about this awhile ago and thinking, "Mmmkay?" I'm a big fan of Spidey, pre-Civil War. If this happened to go on the Broadway on Tour (or whatever it is), though I'm not sure how likely that would be, I'd check it out.

As for strangest project, another one is American Psycho: The Musical. I reaaaaally can't imagine that transferring well.

lol!

I appear to be outside the norm... but, first reaction? I'm totally a go on this one.

(Tho digging deeper into what it entails may alter my opinion... Who knows.)
