Spike and Cordy

This just occurred to me while watching Charisma's interview at Dragon Con. If Cordy was still a regular in Season 5, the REAL Cordy, not some demon possessed copy, how do you think that she and Spike would have gotten along? As far as I can remember, the two characters had had little or no interaction prior to that time, so there's no real past behavior to base any judgment on.

Personally, after Spike overcame Cordy's initial distrust, I think that they would have become pretty good friends, based on their both being what some people might consider the "other person" in their respective relationships.
 
Spordelia is VG's ship, but I think I agree with Blondie Bear, it would be a snarkfest until they decided to be best friends.

I'm gonna have to mark this day on the calendar. We actually agree on something about Spike. There may be hope in the world yet!
Oh, I LOVE Spordelia, it's one of my favorite 'ships. 😀

True, they have little interaction, but when they do it always shines, like in In The Dark: "Cordelia! You look smashing" or when he said something nice about her hair, and then she replied that she wished she could say the same for him. 😀

But yeah, I think they're adorable together. 🙂

I've seen some Spordelia fanclubs all over the net. But they would work better as friends. 🙂

My favorite scene is in You're Welcome. Cordy said "Spike, who?" and I found it funny. And when they met in the hall way, Cordy said "I heard you weren't evil anymore, which kind of makes the hair silly." :lmao:
 
I think they definitely would have snarked at each other a lot, but I can see them getting on quite well. :biggrin:
