Spike And Faith In Season 7

OK, so I could only find one quote re Joss shipping Spuffy (the downside of looking for quotes at work is that half the sites I try to visit are blocked):

I think this speech from Buffy in Sanctuary sums it up nicely:

I gave you every chance! I tried so hard to help you, and you spat on me. My life was just something for you to play with. Angel - Riley - anything that you could take from me - you took. I've lost battles before - but nobody else has -ever- made me a victim.

I love Faith. I have loved her since she was first introduced, and I really love what the writers did with her character. I always felt it was unfair of Buffy to give Spike and Angel other chances after they had f*cked up, but not Faith, but this speech pretty much sums up why she couldn't find it in her to do so. Buffy was so very bitter over the things Faith did to her. Angel and Spike were both a victim to the demon within them when they did their horrible, evil things (well, except for Spike trying to rape Buffy in "Seeing Red"), but Faith was a human. There's a big difference there because it's not as easy to write off why Faith did what she did.

Yeah, and Buffy still holds a grudge against Faith in the comics, which are set way later on. Even after their 'understanding' in 'End Of Days' she still doesn't trust Faith. 🙁
I think that's because the episode was poorly handled, we got Faith realising a truth about Buffy (that she was always 'alone' even with her friends) and that her jealousy was always misplaced. But we never get Buffy really seeing where Faith was coming from or understanding her motives, or even acknowledging any real sort of forgiveness (not like she does with Spike for the attempted rape).
In 'No future for you' she just assumes automatically that Faith went back to being evil, which is exactly what she thought would happen in 'Sanctuary'. It seems to me Buffy will always hold a grudge against Faith, no matter what.🙁
I hope future stories prove me wrong, they're really the only two slayers I like, it would be nice if they were at least friendly. 🙂
