Spike and Joyce

Do you think there should have been a scene at some point where Spike pays his last respects to Joyce? some scene with him standing at her graveside, maybe with no dialogue at all, just either standing there quietly for a few moments or finally placing flowers there, the way he tried to do when Xander kept him from coming into Buffy's house?

I think the trying-to-bring flowers scene pretty much was it. I don't think that he would be big on standing over a grave. He may have gone back to his crypt and had hot chocolate much the same way Giles went to his apartment and listened to "The Tales of Brave Ulysses," but I think as far as overt gestures go, once the flowers were shunned, he wouldn't try to get near her again.

I think so. As I said before, Joyce really understood Spike and he felt like he could tell anything to her without her judging him, so that scene would have been nice. But then again, he would have made me cry even more, so maybe noo lol

That's a great point. There's no way that out of the 17 or whatever cemetaries in Sunnydale, Buffy would have chosen Spike's to bury her mother. Not at that point. He must have been Out For A Walk. That scene is suddenly so incredibly sweet. Do you think he was there when Buffy was sitting there with Angel?

Good point. Never thought about that. And I think Spikes willingness to help Dawn (despite the wrath of Buffy if she found out he was involved) shows volumes on how much he cared about Joyce.
