I've just read a pretty bad fanfic, but it brought up an intersting question...how did Xander manage to get Spike tied to a chair every night in his basement? Did Spike just happily sit in the chair and hand him the ropes?

Ok, yes, but as much as my imagination would like to play with that, I don't think that's exactly how it went, lol.

Maybe Buffy did it for him before she went home???

:lurking:

Spike wasn't there as a prisoner, he was co-operating with Buffy, Giles, and the gang in exchange for protection from the commandos and for a supply of blood. His being tied up in either Giles' apartment or Xander's basement was entirely for their own peace of mind. Spike probably just rolled his eyes and let them have their fun. It's doubtful that they could have forced him into submission, even with the chip, since he wouldn't have to actually hurt them to resist being restrained. Simply walking out the door would have accomplished that quite easily. Of course, those trigger happy men in camo were out there, just waiting for him to show up.

yeah i reckon this is about right...
Well, it wasn't like Spike could fight back with Xander being human and all, but I like to believe he liked hanging out with them.

At that time he was feeling pretty lonley and he also had some hope that the Scooby Gang could remove his chip, or find some way around it so he decided to stick around. Plus, if he went out, those Initiative guys could track him again and who knows how many more chips they could have lol

He probably felt safer with the Slayer around.

(And if he enjoyed it... 😉)

Oooh biscuits mighta worked 😉
There wasn't much he could do to stop them from tying him up, he couldn't hurt him because he was human and he couldn't run away unless he wanted to burst into flames. I think he just took the easiest option in letting them tie him up.

I can't speak for Spike, exactly, but I know there are a couple of people around here who would gladly let Xander tie them up! *cough FS Cough*

Xander had help from Anya, and whatever friend was there.

Spike hated being in that basement. :lmao:

Hmm, maybe Xander had Anya do her sexy dance and while Spike attention was preoccupied to tie him up? 😛

Ok seriously altough he let him tie him up as he had to stay within sunnydale to figure out way to get the chip out and that meant making sure Buffy wont stake him as well as Initiative would not catch him.

Myself included! : king : Yummy Xander!!!

Perhaps it went like this:

Spike jumped next to Xander on his foldout couch. Arms were folded behind his head and his legs were propped up on the table. "You're watching this? Change the channel. Passion is on soon."

Xander's eyes were beaming fire balls at Spike's legs. His burning eyes turned to the smug looking vampire. "What do you think you're doing?"

Spike raised an eyebrow. "Watching telly?"

"Get your feet off the table!" Xander yelled, shoving Spike's legs away. He looked back at the TV. The laughing audience irritated him more. "You know what, I'm done watching TV. Get up!" He literally pushed Spike away from the couch and started folding it out to a bed. He should get a real couch in the future.

"Is alright, I need my beauty sleep, too," Spike said, stretching. "A night in this trash hole sure makes a vamp all-in," he mumbled.

After Xander was done with the bed, Spike threw himself fully in the middle and pulled the blankets to cover his body.

"What? No, no, no, no, get up!" he yelled.

Spike looked at him, confused. "What?"

"You're not seriously considering sleeping in my bed."

"You're not gonna let me sleep on the floor, are you?"

"Why? Vamps are allergic to the floor?"

"No," Spike replied in ridicule. Then he pouted. "It's cold."

"Spike, you're cold." Xander glanced at his recliner chair, and without a thought, he decided, "You'll be sleeping on the chair."

"What? C'mon! It's not like I can bite you."

Xander regarded him with narrowed eyes. Sure, Spike couldn't hurt him. That didn't mean he wouldn't do something. 'Pranks' was the word that crossed his mind. Oh, no, Xander was not having any of that. He walked to his closet, searching for Anya's ropes. Feeling blood rushing to his cheeks when he found them, he remembered why they were here. Anya had promised to tie him up tonight and act all Mistress. Damn you, Giles!

Turning around and making the ropes visible to Spike, who grunted, "Oh, you're bloody kiddin' me!"

"On the chair," Xander ordered, picturing himself in a circus.

Spike looked like he wanted to protest but wisely shut his stupid mouth and sat on the chair. Xander tied him up, and mentally smirked at Spike's grumbles. At last, the roles were reversed.

Once he was finished, Xander turned off the lights. "Don't see why I have to be tied up," he heard Spike remark from behind him.

"It's just while I'm sleeping," he replied, gently.

Walking towards his bed, he heard Spike sneer from behind him, "Like I'd bite you, anyway."

Xander turned around to glare at him. "Oh, you would."

"Not bloody likely."

Turning off the lamb on the other side, Xander replied, "I'm very bitable, pal." He rested himself on the matters. "I'm moist and delicious." He closed his eyes, feeling sleep creeping on him.

He heard a scoff. "Oh, yeah, you're a nummy treat."

Pointing a defining finger at the vampire, Xander said, "And don't you forget it."
