I don't think they hate each other...I think they dislike each other a lil for all the Buffy crap...everything is always her fault lol😛.

[Btw,don't talk about Spangel..this time it's not about it...we all know Spangel is totally conventional anyway😛]
 
Yeah, I'd have to say they hate each other. I think you could really see it in "Destiny", that it wasn't just some sort of bickering fun. And the Buffy thing only heightened what was already there.
 
Off course not, they just envy each other. Angel(us) wants what Spike has and vice versa. I guess that in the end they'll probably become friends... 'cause they're not all that unlike each other. The way I figure Spike will be Angel's best man at his wedding with Buffy.
 
Not yet, I say give it some time! They secretly admire each other (not in a romantical fashion).

I agree with you,..I think they envy each other a lil...but,you're right,we gotta give them some time,..till the answer to Bell's question is 'yes'...ern,I mean till they accept that they can be friends and that there's no need to fight...Buffy is not worthy😛

1. They used to hate each other

2. Now they just don't like each other

3. Spike uses terms like 'nancy boy' quite often, and frequently refers to Angel as such

4. Closeted homosexual often act out against other homosexuals in denial of their sexuality

5. Spike writes poetry

6. Angel likes Barry Manilow


... you know, maybe Magui's been right all along.

i don't think its hatred.. by my point of view,spike never was good enought for womens and all when he was alive, when he died , he saw the opportunity to start again with his new "family", but angelus in asorta of a way keeps pushing him down, because he wasent "evil enought" for him... so in a way angelus wanted spike to be more like him, and spike eventually wanted to become more like angelus, (drussila thing..) so i a weird way, angelus is somewhat responsible for what spike becamed (when evil), and when he got his soul, spike reminded of him when angelus.. so angel can't stand respect and be friends of spike becaus he feels that the way spike is alike angelus , angelus hates angelus so angel feels he should hate spike...
and spike wants to hate angel because he feels angelus was responsible by what he become (i only agre at it at some point)..
the buffy thing just mess it up more, angel and spike both love buffy, and angel left her so she could be normal, but inside he still thinks they would end togueder. by involving herself w/spike, angel feels like he's been betraided somehow, and that the new "ensouled" spike might not let the bangel final he though it would become.. the fact that spike got his soul by his on will only frustrad angel more, because he's not responsible by his actions when angelus, and spike still souless try to reddem himself..
spike on the other hand thinks that now with a soul, he is as hgood as agel and has nothing more to prove to him that they are equals.. so he has the same right to love and stay w/ buffy as angel..
i hope this makes any sense...
 
I really think that, the only reason Angel and Spike hate each other is because they love each other (not bringing spangel into this, just like how you love a freind) cause think of it like being brothers, do you fight with your siblingS? yes, but its not you hate them, its that you like to stir things up or your personalities clash.
I think why Spike and Angel always fight is sorta like that, they like to stir each other up, but then Spike got with Buffy so that why its all visious like in "desteny"
 
It was more a rivalry thaen hatred. But since Spike came to Wolfram and Hart they sort of growan a little (although they wouldn't like to say) "friendship"
 
They deffinatly dont hate each other anymore like they used to. They have more of a brotherly type relation ship, they get a long but they still dislike each other and are rivels for certain things.
 
I agree with Alyson and Primal Slayer.

The Spike/Angel thing makes the most sense to me when I think of it as a love-hate, sibling rivalry kind of thing.
