Question Spike/Buffy Promos?

I can't understand why they would stinge on a photoshoot for the last season. Surely promo shots aren't going to break the budget for a show like Buffy? Seems a bit off to me...

It does seem a bit weird. And it's highly annoying, when you make art for the show, to have so few promo pics to choose from. 😛

Does anyone else think that the season six shots are really weird? Weird clothes, weird lighting, weird facial expressions? Just... not particularly flattering for any of the characters. Except maybe Spike. He looks good.

I just find them very strange in terms of lighting and poses - they all look washed out. The make-up's too harsh and the whole effect is just very odd.

Though I take back what I said in my previous post - I think Xander's are the only ones that look normal, lol.

So, those are season 6. Did they do any of those for season 7? So, the official word from this thread is no, there are no promos of Spuffy. Too bad.

Definitely. The lighting for SMG looks too bright, making her look washed out. I'm not a huge fan of the green lighting for Spike, but JM looks awesome! 🙂 Wish he was wearing his leather coat in some of the photos though.

When S6 promos were first released everyone looked really white. And sometimes shows skip a season. 7th Heaven skipped a season I believe, Charmed didnt have any for Season3. Could be because UPN didnt feel like doing any (even though it wouldnt cost that much) or because joss wanted all the budget he could get, or because they just didnt have time to get the cast together to shoot them.

And S6 promos were done before the show even started I believe (just look at Alyson being blonde) and Spuffy wasnt even offical by then, not to mention that everyone was shot solo unlike previous seasons.

Season6 didnt even have any group shots outside of the actual group photos. And there was no reason to do Spuffy shots in S5 since nothing had even developed by the time they did them.
