Hello,

I just introduced myself in the main "Check In" section. I'm not sure what all there is to explore on this site, and I'd like someone to help me explore it and figure it out. If anyone would be willing to show me around and answer some questions, I'd be very grateful.

I'll adopt you! Spike is my favourite character! 🙂

My name is Emily, by the way, and I'm more than happy to answer any questions. 🙂

Congratulations
I know that's off topic but I saw your profile page and thought "now here's a Spike fan who's missing out on some Spike action!" I take it your not a fan of the Angel character? I never liked him until I started watching the Angel spinoff.

I don't care for Angel. He's not a bad guy, but he broods way too much for my taste. I guess the consensus is that I should watch Angel, though?

definitely. I didn't like Angel until his own show, either :)
It's certainly my consensus...

OK! I'll give it a try when I'm finished watching BTVS.
Wait, Angel is the show on which Spike is kidnapped by Nazis and then steals one of their jackets, right?

Well, I got into Buffy due to some serious Spike and Spuffy spoilers in the form of YouTube clips. And I'm kinda upset about that; I wish I had been more patient with myself and allowed the story to unfold as a surprise. On the other hand, the spoilers are what got me into the show in the first place, so...

That's the problem with fan vids on YouTube: They're wonderful compilations, but they can ruin the element of surprise. What do you think?

I hate spoilers... They just spoil everything. Clue in the name really.

Back in the day I used to read teletext which was like the internet but on TV. Don't know if they had an equivelant in America, there's a rap song that mentions skynet pages so I reckon that might be similar.

Anyway I used to read music news on that and they used to run ads along the bottom of the screen saying stuff like ring this number to find out how - then have a massive spoiler about Buffy from the end of the next season. Totally ruined several key twists and shocks for me.
