Spike in 'Destiny'

Maybe Spike just had a moment of clarity. So he phones Buffy. Then what? Sure i suppose she'd be happy he's alive but its not like she wanted to be with him in a relationship. Why would he wanna go to her again just to be her little lap dog again? To me it wasn't 'out of character'(whatever that means) or wrong what he done. He's single, a vampire(it'd never work with Buffy)..

..Buffy doesn't love him 'that' way. So wheres the wrong? Plus he had sex with Anya, so hows sex with Harm out of character?

Destiny is an amazing episode and it kept my interest until the end!
Spike is finally corporeal!Angel and Spike fight for the cup!!!Now there are two candidates for the Shansu prophecy!
May i ask a question?is this thing gonna be resolved?i mean is there any possibility Spike is the "vampire with a soul" the prophecy talks about?If it is a biiiig spoiler don't tell me much!!!I have been dying to know since i saw it last night!

Well Spike sleeping with Harmony didn't surprise me...as i said before i haven't watched all seasons of Buffy but i have watched many videos and i have read info in wiki...and i have an opinion about the matter...,Spike is corporeal again,he wants to do all the things he missed...drink blood,fight and sleep with someone

i am not sure Spike really loves Buffy...i am not saying he doesn't respect her or that they don't have a special bond...but during the fight with Angel, when Angel told him that Buffy could never love him...because he wasn't Angel...Spike's response made me feel awkward and doubtful of his true feelings...if sex means love in Spike's mind then i don't think he understands what love really is...I don't blame Spike for sleeping with Harmony, i saw it as a need to feel real again!I see it as a part of his nature and i don't feel annoyed by it

and as for Angel...do you really wanna touch that matter about who he has sex with?I believe that in 4th season Buffy developed a relationship with a guy named Riley...and in 6th season we had the spuffy thing...but in her heart Angel always existed but he was out of reach...there was this curse...IMO if Angel didn't have the curse...Buffy would certainly ran to him in her difficult hours
Angel loves Buffy for ever and there is no woman who could replace her...the dream sex with Cordy was just a fantasy and an illusion created because the shaman was taking out his soul...and Eve...they were under a spell(by the way EVE is really pissing me off especially with the Destiny final scene!)

and i am not familiar with the nina thing yet...that is the werewolf right?i can't wait to see more episodes of season 5!

I haven't gotten to season 5 yet, but I can't imagine being upset at Spike for having sex with an ex while single. Men seem, on average, no real problem with having unemotional sex. If the Buffyverse were real, he probably would have gotten in touch with Buffy. But this is TV, and Buffy was off the air. What else could they do besides NOT have him contact her?

I am REALLY looking forward to season 5, mostly because of Spike. I'm almost there 🙂 Then I can talk about this more intelligently.

True, but it seems that men are more likely to do it. It's not sexist so much as hormonal/biological. Spreading the seed kind of thing..lol.

While I'm not a fan of the nooner with Harmony, I don't think its dreadfully out of character. He and Buffy are not 'together' and Harmony is there and convienient. Does it mean anything more to Spke than physical release? Hell no! Does it impact on his feelings for Buffy, a woman who is on the other side of the world who he believes doesn't really love him? No Way! That would be like saying that just becsause you harboured feelings for an ex you were never going to ever have sex again. And like While Avenger said, they got interrupted anyway.

It's interesting that up to Destiny, Angel didn't think about Buffy. The fight made him to dream about Spike sleeping with Buffy in Soul Purpose (subconsciously admitting his fear that actually Spike has a chance with Buffy) and after The Girl in Question when he realized that Buffy is off limits to him and Spike, Angel returns to Nina. Both Angel and Spike act like 12 years old (could we lock her up? ) they're OK not being with her if she's not with one of them.

Very true, their competition over her is quite childlike and immature. If only Buffy had really been there, she would have put them in their place, and chewed them out for their "jealous vampire crap." 😉

Although before (and maybe after) he got a soul I think that he did connect passion and love together, I'm pretty sure that Spike only said that because he knew it would piss Angel off. 😀

It may have just been a fantasy, but in Angel's mind it was real, which proves that someone other than Buffy can give him "perfect happiness."

I also thought Spike made the sex comment to irritate Angel, not because he doesn't know the difference between sex and love. Spike's a poet, a romantic. He gets love, IMO.

That's because people are overly politically correct and MUST label all homosexual relationship as "healthy."

Personally, I think the only major Buffyverse relationships that had the potential to be "healthy" were Giles/Jenny, Willow/Oz, Willow/Tara, Cordy/Doyle, Xander/Anya, Robin/Faith, and Wes/Fred.

On the flip-side, I enjoyed watching Buffy/Angel, Buffy/Spike, Spike/Dru, and Angel/Darla, but I wouldn't call them remotely "healthy." I even kind of like Cangel, and maybe it could have been healthy, but I think it was a bad fit overall.
