Spike had waited at the back door for the guy he was said to look like to appear, Billy Idol. It was what he did for his most ardent fans, not many would wait there as he would seldom appear before 11:30 at night. That night there were four of his fans there to see him. Spike kept behind them so he wouldn't be disturbed.

After a twenty five minute wait Billy Idol presented himself to his fans. They had the usual selfies with him and a few autographs each, Billy was about to go back into the theatre when Spike walked out of the shadows.
“Sorry I didn't see you back there,” said Billy.

Spike grinned then told Billy, "He wanted to speak to him when no one else was around." Billy took a few steps back,
“Why are you planning on hurting me,” Billy asked.
“No, I would not say I want to hurt you as such I might even help you to remain on this planet for a lot longer

than you had thought you might have planned on,” said Spike.
Billy concentrated on facing Spike a lot more diligently than he had done.
“Nice hair, I used to have a head of hair like that, several years ago now,” said Billy.

“I know, I wanted my hair to look like yours then you had your hair be like mine,” said Spike.
Billy smiled, “So it was you that I copied, I never thought that I would meet you,” said Billy. Then Billy stopped and faced Spike,
“Just a minute, that was years ago how or why would you still look like that?” asked Billy.

“Well if you ever want to keep your looks I can tell you how. When I say keep your looks I could arrange for you to look like you used to back in the days of a White Wedding and have the same kind of hair as back then,” said Spike.
Billy looked at the ground then faced Spiked, “How, will it hurt much?” asked Billy.

“There will be a bit of pain but only for a few minutes, there will be a lot less pain involved than the Heroin you have taken though admittedly it'll last a bit longer,” said Spike.
Billy thought about Spikes proposition, he wanted to know if there was a downside. Spike grinned.

“Bearing in mind that I am one who is what I am referring to I'd have to say no but there is good and bad in everything we know or do.
“I can only believe that if your appearance never gets old does that mean that if you never look older you could keep performing forever or it'd be your choice when you couldn't go on being a 20 year old and have folk see you or me as one?” asked Billy.

Spike grinned, it occurred to him that if he turned Billy they could be like twins and be seen in two place sat once.
“Both of us being as vampires might bring in the belief we are Doppelgangers. Billy smiled, “I've always wanted to disprove the Dictionary's,” said Billy.

Spike grimaced to Billy then smiled as Billy smiled to him, “Some dictionary's claim that a Doppelganger is a wraith of a living person we could show them that their theory is wrong,” said Billy.
“In more ways than one, I know of a second one who is Willow, seeing those two together,

the four of us together would really explode the explanations the dictionary's make of a Doppelganger,” said Spike.
Billy faced Spike, “I am not sure about it but seeing us as Doppelgangers would be fun, well it would be fun for us anyway,” said Billy and he smiled to Spike, “Do what needs to be done.”

Billy could not imagine what it was that Spike said, exactly what it was he had meant though it was as Spike had said. "Just a little pain to begin with then soon the feeling of pain would be gone. “What else is there?” asked Billy noticing that being a vampire caused the pain that he was in had soon vanished from his body.

"Is it true that when I am a vampire I will never suffer from stage fright, I hate that feeling just before I go on stage, sometimes I am physically sick, so for all of my inhibitions to fade completely it might be fun. For both of us to appear on either side of the stage at times impossible for a human to do, if we practise singing the same song in perfect harmony we'd be a sight at performances,” said Billy.

Spike leant on an elbow, “You know I have never actually earnt any wages since I died.”
