Random question...

We know that Darla and Angelus has sired other vampires, and Drusilla has obviously sired Spike (and later more bizarrely Darla 😉) but has there ever been a mention of anyone Spike has sired?

It was just a question that struck me and I can't remember anything from the show, is there anything in the comics? Or is he the one of the Four who hasn't gotten around to it yet? 🙂

(I mean except his mother. Though perhaps it is that failure which taught him a lesson??)

Spike sired a bunch of vampires in season 7, Holden Webster being the most notable of them. I know, it was under the influence of The First but as far as I'm concerned it still counts. Also, he sired Billy Fordham in "Lie To Me".

Oh yeah right, I forgot about all those. Lol, thanks @EVIL UU I'm clearly in dire need of a re-watch of seasons after season 5

Though it seems like he has never entirely "willingly" sired anyone after his mom if one looks at that list.

Well, Spike didn't exactly choose Billy, Billy chose him but still, the siring was his own decision.

Who else would he sire? Apart of Buffy, anyone he wanted to spend time with was already a vampire.

No, it's in "Lie To Me", the 7th episode of BtVS season 2. Do you people even watch this show anymore? 😀

Oh, Billy. I always assumed that Dru did the honors given her face after being locked in the shelter. No, I thought of Billy - AtS - Wesley being evil. (Poor Wesley)

Here's a good fanfic - while Spike doesn't sire Giles, Dru makes a stop before leaving Sunnydale after Crush.

When Giles opened his eyes, he was laying on the floor of Spike's crypt, wrapped in chains, and Spike was on the other side of the room with a loaded crossbow aimed at him.

"So, you're awake," Spike said.

"I feel very odd. Why are you pointing that at me? You can't use it on me."

"I will if you're not reasonable."

Giles looked at him curiously. "You act like you're worried about me. Good." He frowned. "My face feels odd."

"I'd show you a mirror, but it wouldn't help."

"What happened?"

"What happened is I have to have some very serious words with Dru about what she dumps into my crypt when I'm not home and she's in a pissy mood."

In the very first episode 'School Hard' Spike sires Shiela that rebel girl who was working with Buffy on the parent/teacher presentation.

Given his very low criteria for siring (Shiela and then later Billy) its entirely possible that Spike sired a whole bunch of people that we never even get to hear about. I'm sure that there wasn't any shortage of female volenteers...
Maybe it's something they can touch upon in the comics- since its an aspect of his character that's been largly unexplored?

Dru sired both. As far as Sheila was concerned the last thing we see is Dru biting into her.

I don't see why she would. Billy made a deal with Spike and Spike honored that deal. It's really that simple.

FORD
Yes! This is the best. I wanna be like
you. A vampire.

SPIKE
I've known you for two minutes and I
can't stand you. I don't really feature
you living forever.
(to Dru)
Can I eat him now, love?

No request as to who sires him. I just assumed given the last scene where Dru is advancing on him. I doubt very strongly that Spike would take any food from Dru given how he's trying to make her eat in other scenes.

But on the same token I dont really see Dru siring him and then leaving him unguarded for the slayer to easily kill. She took in strays all the time and would have had Spike carry him home had she made him I think.

I guess I have a different image of Dru. I mean, it's fairly obvious (to me) that she turned Sheila and sent her off. I suspect Dru would think it's funny, and Darwinian. In fact, Darwinian is how I would describe vampire society (the master, etc). If either one came back they might be worth saving.

This is a different Dru then the one who sired Spike - and she chose him and sired him for a different reason. I suspect this one would eat strays. Actually - what strays do you mean?

I think Dru sired Sheila, I think it is possible Spike sired Billy but it wasn't shown so you don't really know for sure. I don't count the ones he sired while under the influence of the first because he didn't even know he was doing it. This would be interesting to explore in the comics. For some reason I don't think he sired many over the years. Angel and Darla were the big cheeses, Dru had their consent to find a playmate. Some how I don't think they would have given Spike the same privilege. I think they considered the family complete after his addition. If there had been other vampires sired you would think they would have been part of the whirlwind and you never heard of any others or saw any others in the flash backs.

Sheila was turned by Dru and she is undead and well... (a member of this board brought that up a while ago); she could make an appearance in the comics, it would be interesting (S11, because the writers missed the opportunity of using her as another Archaeus' s child).
