Spike: Soul or no um... Soul

Hey peoples! what do you think about Spike going to Africa to get his soul back?!?! post ya own stuff righta ' here! Anya And Xander AAF!!!!

I think it all depends on how they write him with a soul...Hopefully they'll be smart enough and play it out completely different to Angel.
Is he just getting his soul back? or is he gonna become human again?
I guess if he's a vampire with a soul, it'd be under different circumstances to Angel, wouldn't it? I mean, it might not be a 'curse', as Angel's is...so there may not be the risk of loosing his soul with 1 moment of pure happiness...he might just be a vamp with a soul.
Or, he could be human...which could end up being played out in an incredibly lame way...or it could be a great turn of events...who knows?
Argh, now I can't wait 'til next season to see how it all plays out! Lol.
 
at first i didn't like the idea of him having a soul, but i guess it could be okay.
i hope he wasn't turned human, because he's more fun as a vampire.
i wonder if he's still unable to hurt humans, or did the guy who fixed him do something to the chip aswell?
and i hope Angel finds out

edit: actually, he did say "make me what i was" (or something similar), didn't he? and "what he was" wasn't a vampire with a soul, which leads me to think that he was turned into a human.

i don't know, i haven't even seen the episode yet. 🙁
 
If I remember correctly, he told the demony thingy that he "wanted to be what he was before" and that he "wanted to give Buffy what she deserves"

If you ask me, and look at all of you lining up for my witty words of wisdom here, "What he was before" was William. Human. And didn't he say once to Riley that Buffy "deserved to have someone who could take her into the sun?"

Sounds like the soul is going to make him pretty darned human.

Now, if only things don't get too mixed up after he gets back to Sunnydale and "William" doesn't go all gah-gah over Cecily (Halfrek) again, like he once did. Especially since I think it's just a matter of time (okay, so it's gonna be about 3 months) until Buffy comes to the realization that she really is in love with him???

Ohh great..... Spike as a human. That means he and Buffy could grow old, live happily ever and die together. Did I say that?

i think the writers will play his predicament a little differently from angel. i can imagine his expression when he finds out next season:

"bloody hell"
 
Lol! Yes, I can just see that 'Bloody Hell'. It's going to be interesting to find out how he...and everyone else reacts.

Personaly,i would like to see him as william again,it would be interesting and there would be no worries about him turning to the evuil side again
 
Well i for myself didn'T want him with a soul. I want a evil spike again like in season 2 😀
 
It was such a shocker when the demony thing said to Spike "Fine. I will return your soul!" (or something to that effect). I thought (and many others i'm sure) that Spike wanted his chip removed when he said he wanted to be what he once was and that he wanted to harm Buffy when he said he would give her what she deserved. And then the demon thing took what Spike said and turned it all around!

It really does sound like Spike is going to be human, though. I guess I didn't think about it that deeply before.

On a different note: I didn't know that Halfrek and Cecily were the same person, either. Could someone please explain that to me? Thanks! 😀
 
Either with a soul or as human (and I'm inclined towards the Spike-with-a-soul theory), the combination of both his life and "un-life" experiences could provide an interesting character mix. (But no poetry, please...)
 
*muses* Spike with a soul . . . interesting . . . Spike being human again, very interesting. *grins* I can't wait to see how this is going to play out.
 
Either way, Spike's still Spike, so I'm not that worried about it. WHO AM I KIDDING???!!! I can't wait to see what'll happen. I can tell you after I see part of next season.
