Yea, he did hate doing that scene. James is very very much against rape. He said he can't even watch the scene without turning the TV off or putting his foot through the screen.

Spike = Blah, I don't care. Boooring.
James = Sweetheart

Though... everyones opinions on actors/actresses aren't going to be the same. Sometimes people just dislike a certain actor/actress.
 
I just can't stand both Spike and JM...

I strongly believe this attempted rape was really important..

I agree with that part about it being really important. Like I said, I wanted him staked right then and there.

I was one of the voices against him going over to AtS. I didn't want him ruining AtS like he did the last 2 Seasons of BtVS for me.
 
I can believe JM had a hard time with the scene. SMG did a marvelous job, and so did James. It rang so true to what I imagine a real assault is like...it is hard to watch...it hurts my gut when I see it...just the sound of the sobbing...
 
I really do think that rape is very big thing, even when it's just attempted rape. And Spike really tried to rape Buffy and that made me hate him for a while.
 
Well I think that it's terrible to be even a bit happy if someone gets almost raped. That's something that I wouldn't hope even for my worst enemy! My friend almost got raped and she will never forget that. 🙁
 
Well I understand that in the show they can't speak about it all the time in season seven because audience would get bored to it. But the thing that I can't understand is how some people think that it's not that big deal?!? That kind of attitude just makes me angry! It's childish to say that Spike did it because he loved Buffy, if he really would have loved her he would never ever tried to do anything like that!!!
