Magui, I see what you mean. I don't think people would still love Angelus but most certainly wouldn't be holding it against Angel as they do Spike as we have already seen that proof displayed after he went on his death spree in 2. Oh, but he didn't have a soul. Hmmm...why is that farmilliar? In my eyes that's what Angelus was there to do in B.B.B. and they have BOTH done it to other people in the past. They are both guilty of this crime

Far as Buffy is concerned I think that Spike WAS in fact out of his mind. If you watch the begining of his shpeal in the crypt you can see it quite clearly in his face and his words. He was pissed, yes, but not at her at himself. Haven't you ever blown up at someone (or about them) because your pride and your heart were so hurt that you couldn't quite deal with the full responsibility of it outright? I have. I never questioned where his mind was the whole time. Been there, done that. His intentions when he went there were not reflected by the outcome. Awful, yes, but I think that Isa said it best.
