I'm going to throw all of the Board members into shock and the world into chaos by saying that the relationship that I like the best, or at least the one that I believe WOULD BE the best is Spike and Faith. The few scenes that have had alone together have always seemed, to me at least, to be really hot. Granted, if for some horrible reason our little blond Slayer and our favorite blond vampire do not get to be together forever in love as they should...then sure, I'll jump on the Spaith bandwagon. That scene in 'Dirty Girls' with the two of them on his bed in the basement had more sexual tension dripping from it than a honeybee hive (lol, now that was a gloriously bad analogy). Hot stuff.

Hahaha, don't get me wrong, out of all of the relationships on the show I love Spuffy the most, but Spangel (to me) seems like the most logical and functional. They're a fantastic pair. I love Spuffy. But Spuffy has ended imo, and they've both moved on. We can still remember it and love what it was, however. 🙂

Hrm, only three choices eh? That's a failure on OP part.

I would say the choices should be the following 4 loves of his life:

- His Mom
- Drusilla
- Buffy
- Angel

I honestly believe those are the four people he has truly loved. You can throw Illyria in there if you want but that has never developed into an honest love.

Of those 4 I think his 'best match' is probably Angel honestly. I don't see it as necessarily romantic, but I do see it as the most honest and healthy of all his relationships.

He loved Buffy the most with and without a soul. He got a soul for Buffy and became a hero because of her belief in him. He was going to stake Drusilla for Buffy. He helped heal her heart, was what got her through the worse months of her life (post-resurrection), stood by her when none of her family or friends did, and was the first person she said "I love you" to in four years. She trusted him enough to take the chip out and let him help her train the Potentials, to wear handcuffs, etc. The thing he felt the most guilt about while soulless was hurting Buffy.
