Spike's Drugged Blood Pack

Okay, so when 'Hostile 17' is captrued and givin his chip. hes given drugged blood packs. so when hes knocked out gaurds can come in , drag him off and stake him. yet we all know spike wont go down without a fight so he pretends top be unconcius. yet the blood pack is empty to make the gaurds think he drank it. there are no drains and no blood on the walls so where did the blood go?

That's what I'm curious everytime I watch this episode. Only possible thing is he drank it, but he forced himself to be conscious. Meh, that doesn't make sense at all.

Well, Spike's pretty tough. Maybe he did drink it but was strong enough to resist it? Great observation. I'd never noticed that before.

I remember seeing no blood pack at all, and I always just assumed he must have stashed it on his person. But then of course the guards would probably wonder why the pack was nowhere in sight. Think I have to watch this one again now.

The answer is as obvious as the nose on your face. We know that Spike was never without his handy flask of Jack Daniels. He simply drank all of the booze, a mere pint of 80 proof wouldn't even give a healthy vampire a slight buzz, and poured the tainted blood into the flask, to be safely disposed of later.

(Maybe he sent it to Angel as a gift.

I've thought about this as well, and my theroy is that Spike did drink the blood, but was strong enough to resist the poison. He would have had to drink it or the guards would have suspected he was faking it.

I seriously doubt he drunk it. I get Spike's not like other vamps, but I see no reason he could resist the poison/drugs while none of the others could.

And I always wonder when the hell they put the chip in Spike's head too. I mean did they knock him out straight after they caught him, put the chip in and then chuck him in the cell? Because Spike doesn't know that he's even got the chip till after he escapes and tries to bite Willow. And another thing, in The Killer in Me Spike says that the initiative used to give him drugs when he started to get rambunctious and that it would settle the chip right down but that can't be right because he didn't even know that he had the chip....I think it is best not to think about this too closely.

I just assumed that because Spike didn't touch the blood, the Initiative sucked it back into the ceiling.

Although, now that I'm typing this it sounds kinda silly. But, it's science fiction-ish and silly, like The Initiative. 🙂

Everytime I watch this episode I think the same thing, 'Where did Spike put that bloomin blood!!???' I always think he must have squeezed it out into his coat pocket or something LOL 😀 The empty blood packet is definatly there, I'll add a pic 😀
