Spike's horrific blue shirt

I liked it too - though i'm not keen on the 3/4 sleeves. I do think it is weird to see Spike in other colours because we always see him in black so it just doesn't look right for him to be in anything else. (Remember in Crush he also wore the brown shirt and coat, another 'costume' that was majorly weird but also, i think, very nice). In Beneath You, blue is a re-occuring motif used around Spike, once he removes the shirt in the church the lighting is tinted blue so even without the shirt he is bathed in blue - a colour that stimulates calmness and symbolises loyalty and trust. Blue replaces red as Spike's accent colour from then on.

This reminded me of something. In Conversations With Dead People, Angie Hart sings a song called Blue that was written by Joss. Maybe the whole blue thing is on purpose... or maybe i'm being crazy again lol

I'm in the "that blue shirt was horrifically scary" group:banana:.
When I first saw him in that shirt, I was like : erm : I don't think that blue, as much as I love the color, was really made for him, and I don't think that muscle shirts are good for anyone. LOL, glad to know I'm not alone in this.:grouphug:
 
The shirt is terrible but I think this was the point... Makes him wear something "normal" that EVERYBODY would noticed something was really "wrong" with him... lol

And about the blue thing, I noticed that too... And I think it´s all on porpouse, the guys are really clever to do us feel something they want us to feel.
 
Well i kinda likes the blue shirt it was almost like a second skin showing of he's gorgeous body. Anything that dos hat has my full support!
 
Only somebody who has completely lost his mind would wear that blue leotard man shirt. Which is why it fit his character fine.
 
I didn't love the color, but I have to admit that when he walked in...all platinum and yummy again, and apparently not babbling and cowering...I was thrilled. Yey, hot Spike again.

But I am about 1/3 way through S7 and so far, I'm not loving Spike with a soul...sigh. Of course, neither is he. The chip didn't emasculate him, loving Buffy didn't, but so far, the soul has him a weak idiot, puppet. Not good.

I prefer him in black and an occasional red as well, and I never like him in patterned shirts at all, too busy and fussy for him.

The hottest yet was the black long sleeved T and black jeans...WOW!
 
I think we got used to the black apparel, so much that it's weird to see him with something with more... colour. I'm not sure how I feel about that shirt. But to be honest, who cares? What underneath is what matters. And he has a good underneathness!
 
I still remember the time I nearly fell of my chair laughing with Spike wearing his disguise in Tabla Rasa.

I'm probably gonna be in the major minority when I say I actually think him in the blue shirt was the closest he came to actually being hot...

Yeah, same here. Only, I'm out of cotton pads, or anything soft. I might just start throwing rocks 😛

Anyway, I didn't really mind the shirt. It was very tight. Which wasn't neccesarily bad ^^ But the colour was horrible. Waay to blue 😱
 
It is really priceless having a bad memory. I can't remeber spike waring anything blue and that song only faintly rings a bell, and I'm not sure whether it's mine ^^
 
I didn't mind the blue shirt. It was a change, and while I prefer Spike in black, I didn't mind the blue shirt that much. 🙂
 
I just got it! I wasn't sure what I thought about this shirt. But now I came to realize that the thing that bothered me about this shirt, is its length in the arms. It's like it's not short and not long, it's somewhere in the middle. That's why it looks a little off. to me anyway. But I love how it's all streched on Spike's body, you can actually see the abs (or is it just me...?) !
