I liked it too - though i'm not keen on the 3/4 sleeves. I do think it is weird to see Spike in other colours because we always see him in black so it just doesn't look right for him to be in anything else. (Remember in Crush he also wore the brown shirt and coat, another 'costume' that was majorly weird but also, i think, very nice). In Beneath You, blue is a re-occuring motif used around Spike, once he removes the shirt in the church the lighting is tinted blue so even without the shirt he is bathed in blue - a colour that stimulates calmness and symbolises loyalty and trust. Blue replaces red as Spike's accent colour from then on.
