Well I found Spike's poem so I thought I would share it, here it is. 🙂

"My soul is wrapped in harsh repose,
Midnight descends in raven-colored clothes,
But soft... behold!
A sunlight beam
Butting a swath of glimmering gleam.
My heart expands,
'tis grown a bulge in it,
Inspired by your beauty...
Effulgent."

Ooh, typo. It's 'cutting a swath of glimmering gleam', not 'butting'. Lol.

I don't actually think it's that bad. It's nothing spectacular or anything but it's not exactly sixth form poetry either.

Haha I tried to translate it with Google 'cause my english-skills are not good enough to translate it but it gave me nonsene. 😀

I don't think it's that bad. I mean, it's not perfect, but if he's happy with it and if it's written from the heart then it's all that matters. I've heard worse, like my friend's ex boyfriend's poetry. Now that is somethign you'd never want to hear.

What's so great about this poem, (and I do enjoy it and think it is quite decent) is that essentially, it is William unknowingly predicting Spike and his love for Buffy.

"My soul is wrapped in harsh repose,
Midnight descends in raven-colored clothes:"

Perfectly describes Spike. His soul is in repose? He's in raven colored clothes, in a descending midnight? The analogy hits you over the head!

"But soft... behold!
A sunlight beam
Cutting a swath of glimmering gleam."

Enter Buffy, the light to contrast his raven colored existence. Glimmering, sunlight-colored hair. Soulful, moral, just. Stark and intriguing contrast.

"My heart expands,
'tis grown a bulge in it,
Inspired by your beauty...
Effulgent."

Well, this part's obvious!
