Spike's problem with Angel

First I don't subscribe to Angel/Angelus differences. The demon inside of Angel influences him even with a soul. I use terms evil Angel and good Angel.

The evil Angel would not want to be worshipped. He rather be obeyed and have followers/soldiers to wait on him and do his bidding. Typical Alpha personality. The good Angel hates what Spike reminds him of from those old days without a soul. I suppose in way would be too humble to like being called a hero. Spike liked to remind with the insults and jibs that Angel still the same no matter how much try to avoid giving in to the demon instincts.

I agree....but trust me, you could show him all the evidence, and he still would tell you that you are wrong.....
Angel thinks he is better than Spike, Spike likes to remind him otherwise..

And I don't buy the Angel is humble argument. Most of the characters were pretty arrogant, I'm not sure why people try argue that Angel wasn't. I could quote dozens of times where Angel was arrogant( Not to Spike), but I'm too lazy to go look them up. Let us not forget that a vampire takes on the personality of the person it kills. Restoring his soul is not going to radically alter his personality.

I agree to an extent but I still think that Angel was a lot more humble than Angelus.

Everyone has an ego....that's a given and Angel isn't exempt from this but I think he was too humble to want to be worshipped by people. I'm saying he was entirely humble but I saw it many times throughout the show.
 
Spike and Angel are the same they are both mass murdering evil vampire but they both have a just as powerful good side. They could save so many people or doom the entire world. They both love Buffy more than they could ever know. And when they realize they are the same they could be the best partnership ever.
 
Yeah, He stopped Angelus and Dru destroying the world cos he likes it how it is. Happy mealos with legs remember?
 
Seriously how people see Angel the same as Angelus is beyond me, it annoys me when they refer to Angelus as Angel, they are two different beings in the same body

Plus Spike is not very good at destroying the world he wouldn't even try.
Angel can be arrogant true but so can Spike, by thinking he is better than Angel

Spike is better than Angel. 😉 There's no harm in him thinking it.

I got a disagree because I mentioned manchester united. I mentioned them because thats one of the reasons Spike does not want to destory the world.

Becuse Angels vision mentioned another reason why Spike doesnt destory the world.

The difference between Angel and Angelus is a very fine line of distinction. Remember the word Angelus is latin for Angel. Denotes the same person. Two sides of the same.

Before they were demons both Spike and Angel lives were prelude for what both eventually would become. Angel had a lot of anger for his father. He became as arrogant as he thought of his father as. Spike wasn't taken seriously by anyone particularly by the girl he loved back in those days and had a lot of anger building from within. Spike was a dork or nerd.

Spike was a dork or a nerd before he was a vampire....and?

According to the Buffyverse "Angelus" actually translates as "The man with the Angelic face" or "The Demon with a face like an Angel".
 
Well put Kimm, why Angel shortened the name to Angel, instead of Angelus, he did not want to get too far away from what or who he was, just needed a name that that dipicted an in between the two. I thinks....
