Spike's Robot Ship?

Sorry if there allready exist a thread like this but I was confused where Spike has got his futureship with the beetle-robots? Does anybody has an asnwer for me?

They weren't robots, they were real bugs, and to get the full story about how he came to be captain if the ship and their leader, you'll have to read the last "Spike" miniseries published by IDW. Basically their original bug captain was killed and left Spike in charge of his ship and crew, who were the last surviving members of their race.

It sounds very Doctor Who/Torchwood.

Maybe that quick glimpse of Doctor 10 & Rose in No Future For You #1 meant they really were from the same universe.

A lot of fans do think that The Immortal is Captain Jack Harkness.
