okay im not sure if this is the right place to ask but who is spikes sire??
In season two, when he takes over the school, he refers to Angel as his Sire [His Yoda lolz] i think you guys know what im talking about. But later On, he gets bitten by Drusilla....so im confused!: erm :
 
Joss has said that sire means any ancestor(sp?) vampire of yours. So the Master sired Darla, Darla sired Angel, Angel sired Drusilla, and Drusilla sired Spike. Angel is Spike's grandsire. (As far as I know this definition is exclusive the Whedonverse).

love the Yoda bit by the way.
 
I think it's also that Angel taught him how to be a vampire. Dru was probably too insane.

true, it's kind of a "what makes a parent" type thing!
From the StarWars standpoint it makes sense if Spike is comparing himself to Luke. Obi Wan brought Luke into the force, just like Dru brought Spike over.

It was Yoda who really taught Luke force stuff as a stand in mentor, much like I imagine Angel was responsible for teaching Spike stuff, (as Dru was raving mad...Good call Blondie Bear)
As pop culture as Spike is, I'd wager that is what he meant. (plus you were my Qui Gon Jinn doesn't sound nearly as cool, and would'nt be an accurate play on words...crap my star Wars nerd saber is showing!)

I thinking that even though Dru is Spikes sire, Spike took care of her moreso than she took care of him, and even in Angelus 'Yoda' days I bet Spike did plenty of fending for himself. Angelus strike me as a guy who usually eats his padawans, that might be why Spike is so dangerous and has bagged more Slayers than the two of them combined, he had to learn to survive in dangerous settings both at the war front and home front!
