Spike's stunt double

But isn't his job to take the fall for the actor ? No wonder he isn't that "hot". Gotta respect a guy that does the worst of the stunts.
 
Steve Tartaglia is Spike's stunt double. JM has often commented what a great stuntman Steve. When asked about what stunts JM does himself versus what Steve does, JM said:

"If he's falling out of a building, hitting cement or flipping up and doing wild kung fu kicks and stuff, that's going to be Steve, but everything else is me. So it's about 70 per cent me and 30 per cent Steve, but that 30 per cent that Steve's doing is all the really cool stuff!"

About Steve's looks-- those are not flattering pictures of Steve, especially the vamped out one, lol. Steve is much better looking in person, IMO, and a pretty nice guy too. 🙂
 
He may not be the most gorgeous guy... but he does make James look good during those Spike fighting moments. He brings Spike alive just like James does, with the great stunts.

Plus, you only ever really see the back of the guy, so it's not like we're missing out on those (agreeing) cheekbones.
 
Wow Magui you read my mind. I was just about to post a thread with some pictures of the two of them b/c I think that the stuntman doesn't look like james at all and in most episodes you can tell that it's not James. His hair is different, it like sticks up more. It's not so gelled back. It's been driving me crazy lately watching the episode and noticing it. In Fool for Love, Out of my Mind, and School Hard you can really tell it's the stuntman. I know they can't make him look exactly like James, but they could have tried harder🙁
 
The hair is pretty unique but ah well, with actionish shows you can expect stunt doubles to not look great.
 
I just searched for a Steve Tartaglia on google hoping to get you ppl some better pics but there isn't any. There is only two and one that IS him (i think) isn't too pretty.

In OMWF(RIP,when he vamps out) you can tell the guy isn't James.It's too obvious.

Well, really does he have to look like him that much. All you need is the basic outline because normally the stunt double will be flying through the air and all you see is a blonde and leather blur.
