Spikes Vampire Face

I was just thinking the other day, what makes him (and others) do that face? is it volountarily? is it of anger? or is it cause there gonna eat blood soon??
 
It seems to be a combination...sometimes they do it on purpose...sometimes it's just before they feed...and of course after they get hit and are mad...confusing..
 
Yea I agree its a little of everything. In Fool For Love when Buffy and Spike are at the Bronze theres a part where he says "A slayer must always reach for her weapon. I've already got mine(showing the vamp face)" So this shows that it can be voluntarily. We've also seen him do it when he's angry or fighting and of course be for they're feeding. So I think they can pretty much do it whenever they want to.

Also Thanx spikesgurl, it seems like a lot of sence, but then I was thinking about in the episode of "hush" and he was drinking it outta cup why was his face like that? was it cause it made it seem more real??

yeah,but its about his vamp face...all the vamps have vamp face
 
well I can go to a mod and ask them to move it, but there's no point as i've got my answer finished!
 
I think it's voluntary all the time. He can fight and be upset/angry and it doesn't necessarily show.
 
I just kind of assumed that it had something to do with the demon inside him surfacing. In the books, especially Paleo and Little Things, they mention that when the vampire's demon comes out, it's forehead gets bumpy.
