I have such pleasant memories of watching the kids movies based on both this and Ronja Røverdatter, I cried like a baby (which, I kinda was, very young)

Joint sibling suicide. Kinda intense for the ending of a kids movie.

There was a time when Swedish TV and Cinema were great. Pippi Langstrømpe and ****ing Åmal defined me. Now they only make bleak detective rape porn. What gives?

Without a doubt, it's a classic. I took so much from that and I found such strength in myself and who I was, watching it.
