Spin the Bottle

What I also liked is that we get further insight into Liam. He didn't start out as the drunken womanizing ne'er-do-well we see in Becoming, he was actually a polite, somewhat awkward but charming young man.

A side note, I'm not sure how accents work. I would have thought that Liam would have an Irish accent, why wouldn't he?

Wes is fab. Great of Alexis to slip back into the old rhythm.

This ep was amazing and hearing Joss and Alexis in the commentary only added to it like when Joss said that the sound of Liam changing from vamp to regular face over and over again was supposed to symbolize masturbation.

On a different note, I know this is pretty obvious but I just wanted confirmation so I know for sure wasn't that supposed to be a little Jasmine coming through when Cordy smashed that urn thing.

I always thought the same thing. But didn't Jasmine awaken when the memories were restored? Or was she Jasmine right after she came back from the Higher Plane?

I think that when they where in that high state for a few seconds Jasmine came through and broke that urn thing which caused the spell to go wrong and have the gang assume their teenage personas but when their memories where restored Jasmine fully awoke and began controlling Cordy, but why would Jasmine have wanted to keep them from performing the spell to restore Cordy's memories?

Maybe full Cordy would be harder to defeat? You know, if she had remembered everything than maybe it would have been more impossible to use her like she did. I truly have no idea of course.

LOL. That already was the most hilarious sequence of an outrageously funny show for me (I was hard pressed not to fall off the sofa from laughing!), but now that I hear this... erm... explanation, it's even better! :lmao:

I loved this episode, but for some reason before I watched it I was a little put off. I think it was the title and the premise that did it. However, I saw the Joss writing credit and realised it would probably be just like Waiting in the Wings, where I felt the same before watching but loved the episode!

Accents are affected by how people around you speak. Angel had been in America for about a century so therefore he would speak with an american accent because that's how everyone was speaking around him.

If that makes any sense

True, but is it a physical or psychological change. The latter would suggest that he should be speaking with an Irish accent.
This episode contains one of my favourite Wesley lines and just makes me laugh out loud every time I hear it.

GUNN Don't be giving me orders. I run my own crew.
WESLEY I'm sure your seafaring adventures are very interesting, but I have experience of things you couldn't imagine. I'm not head boy for nothing.

Lovely episode. Fun way to bring light to such a dark and heavy season, and at the same time, a pivotal (or at least relevant) episode.

A less obvious theme to this episode is the consequences of using magic/mystical methods of solving your problems/friend's problems, when they boil down to simple human problems. Cordelia's memory could've eventually come back to them, and Jasmine could still remain at bay.

Stb is so funny, im watching it now and Wes is hilarious...

Wes: ''well, lets get the lay of this place''
Gunn: ''dont be givin me orders, i run my own crew''
Wes: ''im sure your seafaring adventres are very interesting, but i have experience...''

Oh, this episode made me laugh so much! I have not had time to watch the extras yet, but I'll try to get around to it...

Fave quote:

"You made the tiny men stop singing!" - Angel/Liam?

The commentary is amazing. Alexis falling over is the best part 😀

There were many funny moments in this episode, IF 0NLY it was Conner free.

Liam, Wesley and Fred had me in stitches, especially the DOPEY looks on Boreanaz's face. Cordy wasn't that funny to me, Gunn was quite annoying.

Having Lorne tell the story was a nice touch.

I actually liked Connor in this one. Especially when he didn't understand what the "damsel" was asking him. It harked back to when Connor didn't have a clue how to live in modern LA, and that was when he was bearable. He got far too worldly far too quickly.

Oh goodness! I'd forgotten how funny this episode was! I think I nearly died when Gunn and Wesley were fighting, and Angel said he was rooting for the slave! rofl!

But I loved Gunn and Wesley's interactions in this episode: they were adversaries, but not bitter ones the way they really were.
