I was wondering, did anyone figure out that Buffy would kill herself before the Gift? I wasnt 100% sure, but i had a feeling, especially when i knew about the ritual, about Dawns blood, it then came back about Dawn being made out of Buffy.
Did anyone else figure this out?

I figured it out right before she jumped, when you saw the compelation of things that where said to her!

what allycat said is true, also i kinda found a couple of plot hole which i already found a way to explain, you can find them somwhere in this board

I figred it out right before the flashes, when Dawn said that she has to die because its her death that will stop it. Then I realized that Buffy has the same blood. And then Buffy looked back and teh flashes came, and then I knew for sure.

But Buffy's death was forseen in "Fool For Love" when Spike says that every slayer has a death wish, even Buffy.

So was Buffy also trying to commit suicide?

Just a thought.

I knew when Buffy looks out at the sky and there is that orange-y catwalk leading out... like she's supposed to follow it or something. I though, oh crap, she's gonna jump.

On the episode when she kept on saying " I killed dawn, I killed my sister" I was starting to suspect but not sure, buthten she started saying "the monks made her out of me" I kinda stuck the peices together!!

i knida had an inkling when the first sl;ayer told buffy that death was her gift because i already knew that someone was gonna ie at the end of the season

I figured the sh!t would hit the fan at the begining when they showed all of the scenes from the past years. As far as HOW it would hit I started to get a clue once that demon guy cut Dawn.

I knew, having only seen the eps this week it was kinda hard missing the fact she dies. I think in the flashbacks where it skips quickly u can see a pic of Buffy jumping (and im talking bout the start of the ep). I did download the ep but in typical my brother style he deleted it.

i got that she was going to have to die, if not by the episode hints, then i at least had an inkling what with the whole, our station is axing our show lets go out with a 'bang' at least then if we dont get picked up weve got a finale to remember
but i really didnt think shed kill herself, like give up her life maybe but not make a conscious, ok time to die, type of thought

It was kind of obvious that she was going to jump. I mean, Spike saying that it's always got to be blood, then Buffy saying twice that her and Dawn shared the same blood, and then the First Slayer saying that death was her gift.
Then she turned around, all slow and peaceful, and I could just tell that the orange in the sky was her path to heaven.
It's at that part where I start to cry!
I love the part where she runs in slow-motion towards the edge, and you hear her last words to Dawn as she closes the portal.
What really hits home is when her grave has been shown, and you get that one frame of silence before the theme tune.
I love that episode sooooooooooooooooo much!
